Re: HELP! Dry fired my vortex!
Heh, welcome to the forum. Congrats, you are now our current dryfire king. Your reign will last till the next dryfire post usurps your throne. In the meantime, examine your string for broken strands or anything unusal. If it looks good, throw it back on your bow and cock it. Run a cotton ball...

Re: new to cross bows
I can tell you from 10 years experience that the Equinox is a great bow. It's a little heavy and wide for some but I use mine for walk and stalking without any problems. With a 415 gr. arrow it still shoots 335 fps. Good luck with your search.

Re: 308 Short Scope Recommendations.
I have a plain 4 power leupy on my hunting rifle that is amazing in low light. If I had only 25 yards or less to shoot, I would put it on my Equinox in a heartbeat. I'm a walk and stalker so I need the hash marks.

Re: Eclipse XT
Welcome to the forum and congrats on a sweet bow. If you want a quality string that wont cost anymore than a store string but last 10x longer, order from one of the stringmakers in the the trading post. Plus, they can reserve them for you for much less the cost of a string. Like colored chameleon sa...

Did you tell the owner about his brace height problem? If so, what did he say?

I was thinking more of a shtf situation. I think you're right about reinforcing the nock end. Not something I would undertake lightly though.

Re: wood arrows for m380
I have some rosewood stems that I use for stick bows. They are incredibly tough and stiff. Just wondering if a Vixen ll would fling them without them blowing up.
