Folks,
How the heck do you get the nock out of a carbon bolt? I read a post for aluminum botls that suggested screwing a field point in the nock, heating the point with a torch, and using pliers to pull it out. Can I do the same for the carbon bolts.

I have a new crossbow with the bolts inlcuded. Do I need to place some kind of insert in the end of bolt before shooting? If so, where do I get them?

thx all for the help. I'm re-stringing tomorrow and will head out to break-in the xbow. Can't wait to give this thing a try.

So when I restring the xbow I should put enough CCW twists using my right hand to get the string to line-up between thw two marks on the rail, correct?

Folks,
I just bought a Vortex crossbow and removed the string since I will not be shooting it until Sept. Do i need to twist the string when I re-install it? If so, how may times do I twist it?
