I have used that stuff for a ATV and truck winch. It works great and should last.
It should hold up fine for what we use it for and I plan to test it as you are.
If it works as good as it does for other stuff I may pick up a spool and sell it off.
Also you can get colors in it.

Re: Groundpounder Mounts - end of an era
I'm glad I jumped when I did, I should have mine in a week or so and put them to use in the next day or two from getting them.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: The NC boys knock one down!!!!!
Good job Ray, I had an old long nose lady walk up to my stand but never got out in the open to get a shot. Had lots of fun and sat in the stand on Sat. and took part in the first NC Sunday hunting that we have had as long as I know of. The weather was good to us being cool over night and I may hit t...

Re: Real bad day last Thursday
Peter I'm just shooting what came with the bow from Excal. All I added was the rage to try using the same weight that the wasp heads were that I got from Excal.
They used 100 GR up to just 2 years ago from what I remember.

Re: Real bad day last Thursday
Yep fire bolts and the heads are what was shipped in the package with Excal on the label. I think the wasp are 100 gr and the rage 100 gr also. If you call up and order the right stuff package with the max bow that is what I got. I also ordered a extra box of carbon fire bolts, and the easton that c...

Re: Real bad day last Thursday
It cracked just setting. I had my back cut on in march and the string has been off for a long time. Got the crank and re strung it a few weeks back, was just checking things over and getting ready to shoot last week and found it. As far as the bolts, the ones that Excal sells as the package, and fie...

How many xbows you have
So I got to thinking, I have been looking a deal on a bow so I can take a few others hunting that don't have the money to get them and a few are handicap. They will not hunt enough to get there own. So I got to thinking that If I can come up with extra funds I would get a second. Well, the other day...

Real bad day last Thursday
Found a crack in one of the limb on the Max. Have no clue how, it is all stock and never been dry fired. Went back to Danny to be replaced and I hope he can get to it, Start hunting in little over a week......... Wonder if the camo will be the same or be the newer type. IT would suck to not have the...

Re: shooting from a tree stand
The biggest thing is like others are saying, it takes room, spend some time in the stand with the crossbow. As for aim, mine is about the same as on the ground. I'm only 12-18' up a tree and set my area that I always will be shooting in the 20-30 yard range. I carried the block to the stand one day ...

Any good deals on new bows?
I'm shooting a Max and every time I take it out people want to shoot it. Year or so back I remember hearing of some real deals on old crossbows like last years models. One I remember was the one that had a brown stock. Not many people in this area carry Excal and I want to promote crossbows in my ar...

Re: what broadhead
I have some of the wasp but have been using the 100 gr Rage two blades, was thinking about giving the 125 gr 2 blades a try but don't think they could do any better.

New string too short?
Just dropped a new string on my max and it looks a little short. It is the standard string that come with the great stuff package. It is 3/8" outside the 2 lines on the bow, the string is about as long as I can make it by twisting. Will it stretch that much just giving it a few days. Old string...
