Re: Where's My Speed ????

No, it hasn't been sent back for an upgrade. I didn't know anything about one being available. Do you happen to have more info on it ?

Re: Where's My Speed ????

It's not the fact that i think speed kills, if that's all i wanted i wouldn't be shooting Excaliburs. I was just really surprised that a bow that's rated at 380fps won't shoot anywhere near there, but a $180 Centerpoint will shoot at or slightly above it's rated speed. And the fact that i was wonder...

Re: Vortex crossfire II crossbow scope initial impressions

I understand, but it's nice to have more power when your 65 and eyes aren't great. That's why i have a HHA Optimizer with a Weaver Extreme 2.5-10 on my Matrix 380. It lets me use the power adjustment to go up and down instead of always using bino's.

Re: Vortex crossfire II crossbow scope initial impressions

Yep, that's what i thought. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a variable power scope on a slow shooting bow.

Re: Vortex crossfire II crossbow scope initial impressions

Ok, i tried following the thread the best i could, but have one question. The scope is listed as a 2-7x32, but is the power ring and the speed ring the same ? I'm asking due to the fact if i buy one for my Micro 335 which is shooting around 305-310, the scope would ultimately end up on the lower end...

Re: Where's My Speed ????

I was using the diffusers for every shot. I just don't think it's the chrono since the Centerpoint is spot on the advertised speed. If anything, the readings would be higher for the Excels if the chrono was reading high.

Re: Where's My Speed ????

Don't think the chrono is the issue. I'm in the bright sun and the Centerpoint is spot on with the rated speed.

A while back i was able to pick ip a good chrono real reasonable so today i thought i'd give it a whirl trying out the CenterPoint 300 Volt i bought the 8 year old grandson for his birth day. To my surprise the Volt...
