The only bad I can say is that the strings and cables should be replaced.
Immediately or can I at least hunt the rest of this season as is?

Stryker Offspring

After my colossally bad luck over the last few days with my Excaliburs, I’m seriously considering buying/trying an Offspring. I was intrigued when they first came out, and I’m wondering if the shiney has worn off the penny yet. I’ve done searches and haven’t come up with any “recent” post. If anyone...

Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner

I certainly would sand the splinter down n shoot on wid both of the long limbers Seriously?!? I can just sand it down? Yes if it is a splinter just break it off, sand it down and keep shooting until you are ready to swap them out. Most are just cosmetic (the camo finish) and the integrity of the li...

Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner

OK, now I’m pissed! I got home from hunting yesterday and had the intention of putting my Exomax back into service, since I haven’t even strung it in about 4 years. I just got it strung and heard a “crack”...yep, one limb now has a splinter. I’VE GOT FOUR FREAKING EXCALIBUR CROSSBOWS AND THREE HAVE ...

I would only offer this advice, make sure you cannot slip your foot under an arrow, that could be very dangerous when uncocking the bow.
Thanks for that! The only way I decock is to shoot into a target, so that won’t be a problem.

Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner

I’ve got a question for the experts here. Will there be any adverse effects in using the Micro 16.5” bolts with the Ibex or Exomax?

For the record, they shoot great and do kill deer... 8)

Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner

The old long limb bows are pretty much bulletproof.... just saying I’m finding that out... After this, I may end up dumping the M380 and Micro and go back to my old Exomax. After the Micro limb splintered last night, I went into panic mode. Fortunately, I had left my late Dad’s old Ibex at o...

Hey, don't want to sound like a dead horse be patient, Excal will take care of you...
Oh I know they will, but I’m 500 miles from home on a hunt. If I hadn’t prepared with an extra bow here, I’d be really pissed.

Unhappy Excalibur Owner

I’ve got 4 Excalibur crossbows, and now TWO have splintered limbs within a couple weeks of each other. My Matrix 380 cracked a couple weeks ago, and I’ve got a RMA from Excalibur. I hunted this evening at my place in OK with my Micro 335, and after getting out of the stand, I was just going to shoot...

Re: Scope Setting

I’ve always used a single point 25 yard sight in, but I’m trying a Swarovski Z6 with a ballistic turret. It's working well, but I’m not sure I’ll remember to adjust the turret in the heat of the moment.
