Re: Spin drift?
Thanks for all the replies guys! Going to look at canting first to see if that's the culprit as it seems most likely. I recently replaced my arrow retainer and made sure to tighten down the scope rail and also used Loctite on the threads. Rings and scope were installed last night and used bubble lev...

Re: Spin drift?
Maybe canting the bow slightly ? This! Highly recommend mounting a small bubble level somewhere on your bow. Will make a huge difference in accuracy and consistency at greater distance. Know there are quite a few options from the rifle community both scope mounted and rail mounted. Looks like B-Squ...

Re: Spin drift?
Scope was leveled. Canting was the next thing I was thinking. Will have to pay attention next time I'm shooting.8ptbuk wrote:Has your scope been leveled on your crossbow ? Maybe canting the bow slightly ? Both will cause this.

Re: Spin drift?
When mine is dead inline at 50yds on a calm day it is also inline at 20-30-40 an most time if not the crosshairs are not level unless your shooting the HHA . I recently overhauled my setup a bit and am trying to narrow things down. Before when I had my old single red-dot sight on it, I didn't quite...

Spin drift?
Was wondering if anybody here could comment on spin drift in regards to crossbow arrows? Recently switched over to a Hawke XB30 compact scope and have been trying my damnedest to get everything perfect. One of the things I've been noticing is that I can get a perfect zero at 20 yards then when I sta...

Re: Robin Hood at 40 yards
Learned the same (hard) lesson just the other week. As soon as I heard the arrow hit I knew it wasn't good  Have cracked shafts on a few others before, but this was my first "perfect" Robin Hood at 30 yards. Luckily for me, I had new arrows coming in from John just a few days after! :...

Nice doe! Where in Michigan are you located? In the Ann Arbor area myself but do majority of my hunting in the Manistee area. Did pull a local antlerless tag so hopefully I'll be posting a similar picture soon

Treewalker stands -- Where's Jerry?
Have been itching to pull the trigger on a Treewalker Promag XL for over a week now but have been wanting to run a few questions by Jerry first. Mainly, wanted to see if he was going to be in MI any time soon to try and save a few bucks on the stand (heard he gives some good discounts at shows and d...

Re: To Scope...or Not to Scope...Quivering with fear?
Have been running my Phoenix with a single red-dot sight and this year I decided to make the switch to a scope. I always like the simplicity and unobstructed FOV, however I began to realize it has some downfalls. My biggest issue is having to "guess" when shooting beyond your sight's zero....

BowJax Limb Dampeners - Comparison video
Recently picked up a set of the BowJax limb dampeners for my Phoenix and managed to put together a quick comparison video. Also wanted to give a thumbs up to the guys at BowJax too. Installed my original set a bit crooked and when I went to remove one of the dampeners I managed to snap off the main ...

Re: GPS question
What about a few topo maps and a compass? 8) Never have tried a stand alone unit, but have tried various apps on my phone, including a few paid apps. Of the bunch, my favorite is 'MyTracks'... definitely not the most feature-rich app out there, but quite simply it works. Even if you cannot get a dat...

Re: Stripped scope mount screws... !
Call Danny Miller for new screws/hold-down at 740 483-2312.......He's quick........ Bought a few items from Danny in the past and always had nothing but great things to say about him. Today was no different. Gave him a call this afternoon and told him what I was looking for. After some gentle ribbi...

Re: Whats in your stand with you?
Best thing I ever did was switch from a backpack to a fanny pack for all my gear. Was always one to have a tool for the job, but finally realized over half of my gear was simply dead weight and never found myself using it in the tree. Now, I keep my backpack in the Jeep and simply walk in with a fan...
