Re: Should I buy a $300 Exocet 200?

Thanks for all of your help, I picked up the bow last night and took a good look over it this morning. Everything on the bow looks great, the only thing I can find is the tiniest bit of camo rub off on one limb tip maybe 1cm x 1/2 cm. Other that this the bow looks brand new! This is the older Exocet...

Re: Should I buy a $300 Exocet 200?

Ok, it's an overwhelming "YES" to the Exocet 200. While I wouldn't mind a newer Matrix or Micro, I remember tree stand hunting with my old Exocet 200 and didn't mind it at all. I live in Kitchener/Waterloo so Excaliburs were built right down the road from me. I'm looking forward to the old...

Should I buy a $300 Exocet 200?

Hello, I am a casual bow hunter and I might get out a few times a year for deer. 10 years ago I bought a brand new Exocet 200 with the S5 system, cheek rest and upgraded Lumi-zone scope. I really liked this bow and I got my first bear with it 8 years ago. I stupidly sold it and got a compound bow th...

Re: Difference between Matrix 380 and 355

Here is a weird question, not sure if this is the right term but I'm going to call it a "serving deck". On the 355 it's metal finish and on the 380 it's painted camo. Does that camo paint wear off or flake or mess up once wax is on it?

Difference between Matrix 380 and 355

Hey, I am going to be buying myself a new Excalibur crossbow this winter to hunt with. I had an old Exocet 200 from the 90's that I just retired last year. I have been out of the game for so long and I now love the looks of the new Matrix bows. I am in a toss up between the Matrix 380 Xtra and the M...

re-installing dissapator pads???

Hey, in the spring I took off my dissapator pads to relax my limbs for the summer on my 2011 Exocet 200. I want to re-install them now and sight in my bow again for the fall. I took a good look at the pads yesterday and noticed that they are tapered, thicker on one end than the other. I didn't pay a...

Loctite on S5 System?

I installed the S5 system on my 2011 Exocet 200 and tightened the sqrews down pretty tight. After I did this I read in the card that its a good idea to put a few drops of loctite on the sqrews. I did not do this, is it going to matter? Has anybody installed their S5 system with no loctite, is it sho...

Re: Carbon Bolt Options?

So an Excalibur Firebolt weighs about 275 grains with no point installed. I see that Gold Tip has the Laser II at 146 grains and the Laser III at 170 grains and then theres the Laser IV at 278 grains. All of these bolts are at 20" lengths, obviously a lighter bolt is going to make it fly faster...

Re: Carbon Bolt Options?

Is there any other options out there that are working well in the Excaliburs? I have a 2011 Exocet 200 that I am currently using the factory firebolts and bolt cutter broadheads. I am not having any problems with them, I am just interested in some other combos that may work better. Are there any bol...

Carbon Bolt Options?

Hey, I am pretty new to the crossbow game and I am pumped to do some hunting this fall with my new Exocet 200. I was interested in the options out there for carbon bolts besides the Excalibur Firebolt. Are there any other bolts out there that are better quality wise that work well in the Excaliburs?...

Re: New Excalibur Owner!!!

The shadow zone scope looks nice to me, I have looked thru my friends vari zone and the shadow zone seems to have finer crosshairs and distance markers. Allows for being a little more precise, I understand the lumi zone is this way too. The reticle lights up nice and bright in both green and red, go...

New Excalibur Owner!!!

Hey there, I just bought a new Excalibur Exocet 200 with the "right stuff" package and the new shadow zone scope. I spent yesterday putting it together and setting the perfect eye relief for my scope. I must say I am really happy with the quality and fit/finish of this new bow, it fits me ...

Re: Listowel volunteer Firefighters

Spent most of the day in Listowel today along with 3000 other firefighters from around the province and the country. It was an amazing tribute to these two men, all though I didn't know them my department is just 30 mins away from Listowel. It was great to see soo much support from the community and...

Re: Listowel volunteer Firefighters

Yep, I will be there tomorrow as well as most of my full-time department. Our prayers an thoughts go out to the family and friends of these two great men. I think the numbers at tomorrows funeral is going to be unreal. Never forgotten!

Re: New Exomax or Exocet?

Ok, thanks very much for all your responses. I think I am going to go with the Exocet 200, becuase I do wanna practice all summer with it and I wanna be able to shoot 30-40 arrows a day. I am confident the Exocet 200 will be able to knock down all the animals I am going to hunt here in Ontario, our ...
