On my strings the 100# separated a lot faster. I think it is because of the large diameter of my strings to begin with (32 strands B50). If I make a string from fast slight material the 100# will probably be the better choice. I too am getting 200+ shots on a serving without any problems. Best Regar...

Sounds interesting! BTW - the diameter is: 65# - .016 (.41mm) 100# - .018 (.46mm) 150# - .022 (.56mm) 200# - .030 (.76mm) I'm thinking 150# might be a good size to try. :D The strings I am making have 32 strands of B50 in them and I have found that the 65# works best with that. I had tried the 100#...

I have the 200 lb Vortex and make my own bowstrings for it. I am using the B50 dacron material and have experimented with many different types of material for the serving. Since it seems that you have already narrowed it down to either of the two I would say that it would just be the one that feels best in your hands. I have the Vortex and love it. Get the one that feels best to you and you can't go wrong.

The way I like it is to prepare the following way: Place in pot that has a cover and add enough water to completely cover it. Add about 4tbs salt, 2 onions cut into quarters, 4 or 5 garlic cloves split, and a pod or two of hot peppers (leave out if you don't like). Bring to a boil and then turn down...
