11 Acre 8 Pointer
I harvested this dandy buck off the back timber of my parent’s 11 acre tree farm. I feel silly admitting that I almost wrote-off hunting this location due to its relatively small size and familiarity, while failing to immediately notice it for being the great deer habitat that it is based on its sur...

Re: "Long range" target shooting set-up
For long range shooting at targets it's hard to beat the HHA, I have one and it is flat out predictable. Thanks, Boo. Is it possible to shoot beyond 80 yards with the HHA? On another post you recommended a Tasco target scope for long range shooting. Will any rifle scope work for this purpose? I don...

Re: "Long range" target shooting set-up
Hi Everyone, I know this primarily a crossbow hunting forum... But I'm interested in target shooting beyond 50 yards for the fun/geek factor. It seems that my Excal has the potential for precise shooting out to at least 100 yards and I'm eager to try it. Considering the "crossbow IQ" 'rou...

Re: Quiver bracket/Balance
What I noticed was the Xbow wanted to roll to the right. So for the heck of it I took it off and just hand tightened it, so it is now on the left. I now find the Xbow doesn't want to roll at all. I hardly have to grip it at all pretty much open handed. Cool insight! I had the same experience with m...

Re: Equinox Dryfire
I dry fired my Equinox about a month ago while taking off the cocking aid. (I ALWAYS engage the safety first now!) It totally freaked me out! I inspected every inch of my limbs for splinters. No splinters. The dissipator bars/pads not bent. Checked the string for signs of fray/damage or brace height ...

In love with my Equinox.
Hi Everyone, I’m new to this forum. I’ve been a frequent visitor here for several months now and I’ve decided to quit being shy. This is a great forum! The courtesy and information are remarkable. I love shooting my new Equinox. I’ve been shooting it as much as possible in preparation for the quickl...
