Re: Gold Tip Lazer II's ( Need some Help)
A lot of good responses and they all add up to excellent arrow flight. Don't trash the arrows. Get them spinning with what ever you choose, offset vanes, helical, quik spins, quik fletch quik spins, you get the idea. Larger broadheads need more spin to shoot well. Try some of the changes amd you wil...

End Serving?
I've made a few endless loop strings for some excals. The bows are used for hunting. I am using D 10 w/28 strands and 3D for the loops and end serving. Halo is .30 for the centers. The finished diameter of the center is just under .150" I am not satisfied with the end serving. The loops are fin...

Re: OT Two States, Two Bear.
AS for the NJ bear, thanks to our previous governor we haven't had a hunt in quite awhile. What amounts to a quality bear management program. They are eatin' good and we still only take about 600 if all goes well. That's only enough to try and keep a stable population. So far we haven't had any peop...

Re: Custom Bolts
Go to the support section of this website. Check arrow performance and the 2010 instruction manual. There is an arrow chart in the manual and it will answer most all your questions about speed and KE. The speeds listed are spot on when I compared them with my chrony. You may not have the exact weigh...

New to string making
What is to your liking on an Equinox? What string material, number of strands, end serving, center serving? Just about anything you want to suggest. Thanks for your help. As a post script Thunder then thwack, deer down about 30 yards away. Small buck but they still raise a lot of he'''' with the nur...

Re: Reserving a flemish string
The string is an Excal fast flight. Bundles would have been better as opposed to saying strands. I think I have the right idea after reviewing the video several times. Thanks again for all your help. Here in Jersey we have a doe a day bag limit. I need to catch up a bit. To say back yard bucks is an...

Reserving a flemish string
Trying my hand at reserving my fast flight string. Should I allow some twist in the string while reserving or unwind the string so the strands are straight with one another? Thanks for your help.

Re: Nap Quick Twist?
I have had really good results with the quik twist/spin vanes.
Whether you use the shrink fletch or glue your own, you'll be fine. Don't mix the two as they do have a different poi, the shrink fletch is heavier and will change FOC a little also. All of my arrows have quik spins. Hope that helps.

Re: Looking at getting brass insert for fire bolt
If you want the same weight as before with the boltcutters, install 110 grn brass up front. Gold tip laser II brass inserts will work fine with the firebolt. Take it to the next level and get some blazers or quik spin vanes on them. You won't look back.

Gold tip inserts in Horton carbon?
I have six horton carbon arrows. Can I use the 110 grain brass inserts and the aluminum nocks made by Gold Tip? The arrows are .300 ID. just like the lazer II.

Re: Broadhead problems
Just a word about broadheads and practice points. You need to group well with your HUNTING broadheads, that's the bottom line. Don"t worry if the poi is not the same. I khow a guy who sighted in his rifle with brand X ammo, only to use a different brand when he went out hunting. Needless to say...
