All joking aside, that's one of the reasons I switched back to alum's last year - god damn inserts. I also prefer the harder hitting aluminum bolts out of my Exocet.

If you're shooting a carved tip Exocet and replaced the string for the first time - you're doing pretty good. I hunt behind the house as well, so I take very little. Always a knife, flashlight and a 2-way radio, if my wife's going to be home.
