Re: New to crossbows.
Both are excellent ! You can't go wrong with an Excal. Both are smooth and easy to cock and very, very accurate. I'd give an advantage to the Vortex : - A tad more powerful - Better polish and finish I'd personally go for.... an Exocet, which has same specs as a Vortex but I prefer traditional grips...

Re: PETA at work in Virginia, I'm at a loss for words
PETA are a bunch of ignorants, as many of the institutionalized "ecologists" associations are. Those idiots 'ideas pollutes every modern country in the world. They are the same people that care about "protecting wildlife from evil hunters" and that support higher taxes on fuel be...

What happened to your bumpers ?
I'm concerned about mine, the flemish is pressing hard on them 24/7 and they got a nasty mark.

Re: New Exomax or Exocet?
Hi Max-4,
I think the Exocet is more silent. Cocking either should not be a problem.
At 40-50 yards range, the speed difference between the bows is almost unnoticeable.
Both are equally accurate and if you take good care of your serving and grease it regularly, your strings will have a long lifespan.

Re: The real BCmuledeer
Too bad for them vultures, there is nothing rotten here, just a good stupid joke =) Moving there end of April. I'm not particularly found of the city of PG, to be mild. Went to a hunting shop that sells a few Excals and a lot of compounds crossbows... But didn't carry any bolts for Excalibur. Bummer.
