Re: Lets talk about camouflage patterns.
ASAT has been around since mid 90's as when it came out,,carried it in my archery shop then,,I still have a couple of sweaters, and a few pieces of it that I occasionally wear. Good stuff and it definitely wears good. Enjoy!

Re: Lets talk about camouflage patterns.
I've killed a ton of diff. animals wearing insulated carhart brown a lot of years as well as diff. styles of camo. I still like the new camo like realtree and mossy oak has out today. Suckered into buying a bunch of it last year. Just don't think it makes a diff as long as its subtle colors, l...

Re: Pooping in the woods, and why it helps kill deer
Martin - edge of Crane/Army Weapons Depot--I hunt Martin State Forest areas and during opening weekend of gun,,it gets hammered then have it pretty much to myself as well as bow season, but its hard hunting anymore as DNR and their doe tags pretty much thinned it down to far in my opinion. Martin us...

Re: Pooping in the woods, and why it helps kill deer
Cevan if I could I would never go in the bush . But unfortunately in my case that is impossible . IBS sucks . :? I hate it if anyone smokes in or around my stands . I totally agree, and quite understand and wish you the best in hunting. Heck,,even when I chase these big bucks,,no matter what I do,,...

Re: Pooping in the woods, and why it helps kill deer
I've always heard deer can't tell the difference between human wizz and animal wizz. Don't know if it's true or not, and I wonder if that applies for taking a dump in the woods. Got a buddy that killed the biggest buck of his life about 15 minutes after taking a leak on a fresh scrape... he relieve...

Re: What does a custom string improve?
My bow does have the anti dry fire set up. Is the original string flemish? You said dry firing a flemish string will likely cause split limbs, so you mean a custom strong offers more protection against splitting limbs in the chance I dry fire??? I shoot a Exomax,,comes with a stock factory string. ...

Re: Pooping in the woods, and why it helps kill deer
I have a friend that continually won't carry a piss bottle,,and wizzes out of his tree stand. Heck of a all day,,,sit in the stand in any kind of weather hunter,,,wait and shoots a nice buck all the time with his bow. But,,not the big boy. Point is,,,you can get away with a lot in shooting does, and...

Re: What does a custom string improve?
Got a anti dry fire setup on the bow? If you dry fire a Flemish string, 9 out of 10 times it will cause split limbs. Can be a bit noisier than stock string in shooting but not by much. You will pick up 10-15 fps with Flemish string which also means more foot pounds of energy in the knockdown power o...

Re: First blood with the 380
It was indeed a great day to hunt. I also passed up a pretty nice 8 (maybe 125) and several does myself as they were moving pretty good. Will be out in the morning as they are calling for heavy frost. Love this cold weather. Congrats on the doe.

Re: acorns falling = no deer at the feeder
Red oaks produce every year. White oaks seem to do their thing every other year. This is the year of the oak,,all oaks have a great abundance due to the wet springs and summers in most places. When I was 15-16 working in my cousins sporting goods store, a old timer bow hunter who always killed big r...
