Re: Learned something this afternoon
What broadhead was he using? I had a similar problem years ago with slicktricks. Not that far off, but always low/left and with a decent grouping. Switched from 4º to 8º helical on my fletching and the problem was solved. X2 I like a lot of spin on my arrows myself too. Better flight in lots of win...

Re: Good Reading on 2014 Rut
Couple of weeks ago was getting 50-75 pics every 4-5 days on trail cams in the below normal weather as it was low to mid 40's at nite, and no more than low 70's during the day. Now averaging about 12 pics same time frame as the weather is hot, upper 80's,and nights are back to mid 60's. Deer have wa...

Good Reading on 2014 Rut
http://wiredtohunt.com/2014/05/12/2014-rut-predictions-a-return-to-the-typical-early-november-rutting-frenzy/ Thought I would post this for everybody to read up on. Post your own opinion as to what you think. Seems its going to be a better year watching the bucks than last year, but I didn't have an...

Re: Just Couldn't Do It...What Would You Do?
I don't even shoot momma when she is with fawns with spots. Once the fawns get 50-60 lbs big,,then momma is a go for me as I know the young will survive on their own. I don't waste a tag on a small yearing either. too many other deer to shoot at and tag. I don't have a problem filling the freezer so...

At least thurs, nite we have a cold front and rain coming in and going to cool us down towards the weeke...

Re: Anyone Use a Ghillie Suit? What Brand?
Several times, I have been standing against a tree on a hillside next to a deer trail, wearing nothing more than the old fashioned tree bark camowear, (black/grey) face painted, gloves on, wind in my face, and have reached out, touching does, or slapping them on the ass, and watching them explode an...

Re: What Deer See
Interesting read and study on whitetail. I have read several articles on what they see and this one is a good one. Makes you think as to why don't the camo companies make me a camo suit out of red. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Aging Deer Meat/ advice and tips
I know of old timers that age their deer 14 days hanging. I have done 10 myself. Your going to cut the outside edge of the meat off anyhow. I also burn the hair off with a hand small propane torch all over the carcass as its hanging. It will pop the hair right off as you barely keep the flame away f...
