NAP FOC 170 gr broadhead
We were having bad luck with boltcutters and x-acts on turkey. Tried the NAP FOC 170gr crossbow broadhead. Four shots, four turkeys. Accuracy is good and maximum damage. I love Excaliburs broadheads for deer but these are a major improvement for turkey.

Re: Here, kitty kitty!
Oklahoma denied them for years until about three years ago after some were shot and run over by cars. Now you can shoot them if they are threatening you or your animals. Can't wait to see one on the farm as I'm sure it will be threatening my cattle if I see it. :D However, I've never seen one. I do ...

Re: Youth Model Rifle
My 10 yr. old shot a small buck this morning with her new AR in 6.8 mm that I mentioned in the previous post. Very satisfied with the 6.8. It is as pleasant to shoot as an AR is .223 but the 6.8 mm does a much better job on deer. [img][IMG]http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff256/bartbouse/310230_10...

Re: Youth Model Rifle
I've put a lot of thought in this over the last two years, especially concerning rilels. That said, why not start with a Vixen II now? They are lighter than most rifles, no bang, no recoil. I bought pink ones for my 6 yr old and 10 yr old girls. The ten year old has already killed one deer with hers...

Is flemish string & 100 gr mech. problem for axiom scope
I have an original axiom with alum. rail. I put a lumizone on it and really like it. I added a flemish string and shoot 100 gr. x-acts. The lumizone ring has to be set to 325 for chevrons to hit perfect to 50 yards. I just bought an exomag on ebay from sportsmansguide outlet for $505 including shipp...

Stick with the girl you took to the dance. Both are great, x-acts and boltcutters.

Re: I love my bows!
The only crossbow dealer in our town just dropped his Barnett dealership. He is a gun shop that's been around for awhile. He started selling Barnett's in August and dropped this week. He's had a least ten blow up on customers. He's contacted Ten Point. I suggested he contact Excalibur. He said he pr...

Re: firebolt vanes
Thanks for all the replys. I called Woody's. Woody's said there is no color choice from Excalibur but you can call and see what they have in stock. They usually have several different colors. They indicated that the multicolor are no longer made. I ordered a dozen without vanes. They are $10 less wi...

firebolt vanes
What color vanes are available on the firebolts? Every time I shop for them there is no choice on color. I just got a half dozen in lime only. The first half dozen where white only vanes. The next half dozen were yellow, white, and lime. Then I got some that are orange, white and lime. And finally, ...

Jillian Bouse, age 10, first shot at a deer with her pink vixen II equals first crossbow deer. Thanks Excalibur. Now own two pink vixen II's, 2010 axiom, and exomax on the way. My six year old can't wait to shoot her pink vixen II.

Re: Munch Mount
Did you buy a phoenix rail separately or buy the pink furniture separately? Have you used the mount in the field? Does she like it and does it hold up well? I think I am going to order one for my daughter for her vixen ii.

Re: Anyone have problems with 100gr Spitfires?
I shot spitfire xp's and x-act's. The x-act's were twice as accurate. I was not happy with the performance of the spirtfire's. Buy some x-act's.

Re: Cost of Deer Hunting!
This could get depressing. $15 k in land payments, $3.5 k to fix the hunting vehicle, $300 in new camo for me and the kids, new bolts and broadheads, haven't checked the game cameras to see which ones are not working, haven't bought corn - use about 5000 pounds a year, haven't bought new batteries, ...
