Re: Exocet 200 FPS Question

I have GT Laser IIs with wraps, blazers, aluminum flat nocks, brass inserts and 100 grain tips. My failing memory....ugh....I think they weigh in at like 435gr Chrono'd my Exocet 200 last summer. With a FF string and brace height set in the middle I got a 5 shot average of 306fps. I am not going to ...

Re: Serving life

dang....you rotated your string at 400 shots....you are currently at 800 shots and still on original serving? I find that hard to believe based on my experience. My Exocet 200 I would estimate I am lucky to get 50 shots before there is noticeable serving separation....and at 100 shots I am replacin...

Re: Crossbows in WV? Call your legislators.

knobby, I feel your pain. They really make it difficult on non-residents. West Virginia is not alone in that department. Virginia isn't much better. I have to buy a hunting license ($86) then an additional license for deer/bear/turkey ($66) that is only good for modern guns. It costs additional if ...

Re: Hunting Licenses. How much is too much?

I live in Ohio....hunt Ohio and WV every year. My dads side of the family is from WV and we hunt with family on family farms. If it were not for seeing family and hunting with family they probably would have already priced me out of the game. My relatives that live there think we are CRAZY for shell...

Re: Crossbows in WV? Call your legislators.

I live in Ohio but hunt in WV every year on family farms. I would enjoy the opportunity to use my Exocet there.... But the CB license thing makes me want to PUKE. Just what they need another license fee. Next thing ya know I will need a license to buy a license. I think WV's rule n regs are crazy......

Re: jerk's at the range!

while I understand the 'walk away' attitude by many I disagree.....by walking away and/or leaving you have given him what he wanted in the first place....you and your xbow off of HIS range. He 'won' so to speak I would seriously call the authorities or the range master if there is one. Get one of th...

Re: jerk's at the range!

I would have taken down a license plate number and any other identifying info and turned him in to the local authorities.

A firing range where everyone is armed is no place for people who like to run their mouth.

Repair Unraveled string?

I allowed my dad to use my Exocet 200 last week. While attempting to uncock the bow by hand, the string slipped from his grip and he sort of dry fired it. I guess you could say it was 1/2 a dry fire since he did hang on to it for long enough to slow it down a little before it slipped. Anyway his mis...

I do like crazyfarmer I wear a headlamp and keep it pointed to the ground a short distance in front of me. If the light spooks game then I will just have to live with that cuz I gotta see where I am goin. I tend to be much quieter getting to my stand when I can see where I am placing my feet. And wh...

My dad got a meatseeker 2 blade and it was in better shape but I did not...
