My post count accumulated in my learning days, most were questions, not statements, 10 years ago. Gary is a back patter, his posts are all about him, nothin...

Re: Murphs g strings
On year 7 with my Boo string. When I take it off the bow it stands straight like a steel bar.. I have to work to bend it, fortunately I have about 10 more, that's about 70 years of bow string. As far as Garys strings (Murph), if you are on facebook, just go to excaliburs facebook page, Gary is happ...

If anyone attending is passing by me, I have a jig, given to me by Boo, I would like to see back in circulation. Pick it up and give it to someone in need.

Re: Excalibur Paradox
Seen them anywhere between 300-600, new strings, $400 would be a good price, I don't need any more bows right now, but that one has always been on my list.

Re: Legal ?
In Ontario, we do not have a caliber restriction for big game, only stipulation is no rimfires. Legally you could hunt deer with a .17 Rem, ethically, not so much.

Re: Remember Makena?
Well I'll be darned.. Just chatting with a gal on Facebook about hunting, and her daughter came up. When she said her name a bell went off in my head. I put two and two together and realized I was talking to Julie, Makenas mother. Makina is apparently a big fan of venison, and squirrel. I invited he...

Re: O/T: Remington 700 triggers
It is very rare I use a safety on a firearm, but this is good to know.
My 700 has a Jewell trigger, but I also think the rifle was built long before the issues came about.

Re: How Long Can I Leave It Cocked?
A good friend of mine has used a Horton for over 10 years. He usually just takes it and doesn't resight it in or check it. And he does well with it. Anyway, 3-4 years ago, the evening before the start of Arkansas archery bear season I arrived at his house. He couldn't find his xbow but then remembe...

If you take the "string off" approach, be sure to pull the dissipater pads first.
