One more thing on the .223. (forgot all about it on previous post) The only manufacturer that sells a 1 in 12 twist barrel is Remington I beleive. You need this twist to stabelize the lighter bullets(40 to 55gr or so) Every one else is a 1in 9 twist with Tikka being a 1 in 8 I beleive. This twist ra...

there are many fine factory loads readily available for the 22-250 aswell as the .223.
Reloading is just a way to go one step farther and refine to your specific rifle, it is addictive but very rewarding.

From a handloaders perspective go with the .22-250, you can always load a .250 down but you can only go so hot with a .223. I shoot both and they have there place but if I only had one varmint gun I would go .22-250.
Now if you want a real varmint rifle buy you a .220 swift!!

Daco crossbow

I hunt with a fella who has a daco that he may part with. I dont know what model it is (wasp, scorpion, hornet). But it looks to be in good order, he hunted with it up till a few years ago. What I would like to know is what would be an appropriate price for these models? Also how close are thes to t...

Exactly. The only paint removed was where the pads were touching. Funny how two bows of probably much the same year and same camo pattern reacted the same eh?
Well I guess its in that particular paint or something like it eh?

Anyhow Thanks for the help

The pads were only touching near the riser not the outer 2/3's. As for the age of the pads I got them in the summer so maybe 6 months. I am particular when it comes to my stuff so this bothers me, i know the oil never got near the pads or limbs. But am stumped. Thanks for the help so far dogger

dissipator bar pads ate paint

Taking my older 175lbs (?) Exocet apart for the rest of the year, and when I got to taking the pads off noticed that they had actually at the paint on the limbs. The paint was stringy and tacky, stuck to the pads and came off the limbs. This is the first year with the bars and pads but have had the ...

Just a question on shed antler hunting. When is the ideal time to start looking for sheds? I would like to do a little looking for them and just need to be pointed in the right direction.

3 legged doe

I was out for an evening sit in the circle feild stand, was watching the blue jays and squirrels for most of the night. At around 7pm I heard something coming to the corn feild. A three legged doe and her twin fawns. Her one front leg was gone at the knee, looked real good though, and raisen twins s...
