Re: Wisconsin Bowhunters association WBA
Nothing bothers me more than the arrogance of some people wo whine that their form of archery is "holier" than others. Especially people shooting high let off wheel bows with mechanical releases. These jerks who want to ban or exclude crossbows are the worst of the lot--I rank them below P...

I have several not counting the half dozen Point Blank Pixel and Apex target rigs I use to teach young and novice shooters. I started off with an original exocet about 13 or so years ago. I still have it. I had a 200 pound job later which I sold to a customer (My wife ran an archery shop-excalibur w...

Thanks for the report Jim. Can you also tell us what bows they were shooting? Brent shoots an AUSBOW Contender with Dave Barnsdale 95 pound glass limbs, Mike Gough Made stock, and a LAS/Full Adjust aperture mounted on a sureloc challenger (we like the cheaper surelocs with the manual lock for cross...

4th WCSA WORLD CROSSBOW CHAMPIONSHIPS-Portugal
The 4th WCSA worlds was held in Portugal last week. For those of you who do not follow xbow "field archery" (similar to FITA) there are two world bodies that sanction such competitions. The oldest and the biggest is the IAU. Our national governing body, THE NATIONAL CROSSBOWMEN is affiliat...

I make target bolts for myself and current WCSA World Jr Champion Brent Hankins who will be representing the USA in Portugal next week at the Worlds. I always use this tool. My apple top of the line saw does not cut perfectly straight (most saws do not). Does this make the bolt more accurate-maybe, ...

I ran a pro shop for 5 years, was a staff pro at another shop for 6 years before that-met most people in the industry. Along with The late Earl and Ann Hoyt, Jerry Carter, Diane and Dick Tone (Cavalier) Dan is at the very top of my list of great people in the archery business. Bill and Kath are on t...

It's my understanding you can also put a regular set of limbs on the bow as your boy grows and increase the poundage but keep the short length of pull. I think Excalibur may have a winner in this model! It can get a youngster interested, then grow with them for a few years! :D Yeah it looks like th...

Excalibur Pixel target bow
LIz and I saw this at the ATA show. IT is a smaller Excalibur stock with a 40 pound prod. Same quality frame and trigger as the other bows-gold like the old Point Blanc. They also have the APEX bow with both the 90 or so pound limbs and the new 40 pound limbs for those who want the regular length of...
