Set up my stand yesterday(near Watford) and saw 3 rubs within 10yds of my stand. I also saw a lot of droppings on the trail leading past my stand. Last year I saw the droppings in the same area and ended up shooting my first 2 bucks(a 5pt and a 10pt). Here's to hoping!

I'm with Gary on this one. I never use cover scent. I don't believe in them. I personally think it's just a gimmick. If they're downwind of you nothing will cover your scent. I hunt in tree stands and I think that is a big advantage for scent. Just my opinion.

I am not a land owner. That being said,I have to side with the landowners on this one. They have to be given first crack. I'm not saying they should get them all but I think they have a right to a certain number of them. If I'm a land owner and I don't get any additional tags, nobody is filling them...
