Hi Guys: Does anybody know the approximate yield or shrinkage loss due to the smoking process. For example if you had 50 lbs of meat to start what (approximately) would you have after it's processed?
Thanks,
Doug

The Little Things That Make this Site So Great
Hi Fellow Hunters: I'm a little slow off the start this season as I twisted my ankle badly about a week and a half ago but I plan on getting out with one of my hunting buddies this week(against my doctors wishes of course!). What makes this site so great are the little things that we take for grante...

Hunting near Ottawa.
I have been hunting just outside of Smiths Falls for the last 4 or 5 years. I used to hunt in the North Lanark Highlands for about 13 years but decided to hunt closer to home with a lot fewer hills to climb. Both areas have plenty of deer. We just stand hunt or do small drives, whereas in North Lana...

Dave's 2006 Spring Gobbler

Congrats to you and your son.
Congratulations to you and your son. I'm sure it was as thrilling for you to watch as it was for your son to shoot the bird.

May Day Turkey Slay!
Hi Guys/Gals: I managed to call Mr. Tom away from his lady friend on Monday morning. She almost busted me on the way in, so I had to drop to a prone position at the end of a fence row, with my shotgun resting on my pack sack. She continued to feed away from me, but Mr. Tom decided to check me out, b...
