Instructions/manual for a 308 Short
I managed to find a 308 short in great condition. Does anyone know where I can find the basic instructions or manual for this bow. The Excal website makes no mention of this model. I'm assuming its a micro series model? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Are the Matrix Series bows lighter?
Thanks guys. I had looked up the weight stats on the various newer bows and I didn't notice a significant difference in weight. I assumed the more compact profile would change the balance and handling perhaps giving the illusion of lighter. Interesting comment on accuracy, comfybear! I have heard gu...

Are the Matrix Series bows lighter?
Hi folks. I'm still using an Exocet 200. At the age of 68 I'm finding it pretty heavy and awkward. I'd love to shoulder some of the newer bows but with Covid lockdowns and travel restrictions that's not likely to happen. I'm just wondering if the Martrix series bows are appreciably lighter? I realiz...

Re: Upsetting Christmas Day
Sorry for the loss of your family member (dog)! It's never easy to put a dog down and it's awful hard to move on after their loss. I still get down when I think of my cocker spaniel. Lost her on Labour Day.

Re: Blood on bolt after shot
Not to derail the OP but I notice the bolts have no illuminated nocks. Any particular reason?
Since installing Lumenocks I have no end of problems with consistent POI.

Re: Hunting In The Rain
Finding the deer might be a challenge if you're planning on using a blood trail. I don't hunt rainy nights for that reason. Morning hunts are a little better because of the daylight factor improving my chances of finding the deer.

Re: Dissapator Pad on an Exocet 200
Thanks guys for the responses. I think I'll just take them off. They're starting to look pretty rough and I think you're right Don. I never get a second shot anyway. Can't reload fast enough.

Re: Overall xbow weight or mass.
I never realized the state weight of the bow is just that .... the weight of the bow only. Adding a scope, quiver, etc. increases the weight.

Dissapator Pad on an Exocet 200
I noticed yesterday I'd lost the disapator pad on one side of my Exocet. Just wondering if its safe to shoot without that pad??? Accuracy? Secondly .... does anyone have an extra pad or set of pads they'd like to sell? I can buy the disapator arms as a set for about $60 but I'd rather not remove the...

Re: Practicing with Field Points
Thanks guys. I will try the spin test. I've shot this bow and combination of arrows for 10 years. I did verify the field points and the BHs were consistent many years ago. I moved to Lumenock nocks that I've placed into the arrow. I'm pretty sure I had a nock that wasn't square. I will try the spin ...

Practicing with Field Points
I missed a deer last year and I was sure I had the range and the shot was good. I normally sight my bow in with the same weight of field points and I've never found much difference in accuracy. I decided to shoot the arrow that missed the deer just to see if the POI was off. Holy mackerel this arrow...

Lumenok Storage
Just wondering if there's any way to extend the life of lumenoks? Will they typically last more than one season? Would putting them in the freezer extend the life of the battery? I don't really want to remove the lumenok from the bolt. They work great now and I'd rather not tinker with the bolt. Sug...

Thinking about the New Grizzly
I have an older Exocet 200 that seems to be gaining weight. LOL. Just wondering if anyone has shot the Grizzly this past fall. Is it strictly for smaller hunters? It seems to be very affordable.

Re: Deer Feeder Question
Yup that's what I found GALamb. I was trying to avoid walking into the area every day so I set up the same Moultrie feeder. I found it failed frequently with freezing and thawing. The deer didn't really react to it except they'd visit it whenever they wanted to. I did find walking in and tossing cor...
