it's been asked before, but none the less a great topic. i say it depends on the hit.. i've been lucky that a majority of my kills have been within 25 yards. i judge based on the deer and where /how far they run.. if i feel i can get down slowly and quietly to find the bolt, i will, just to observe ...

thanks Jim..i will contact boo and talk to him. will also look into those S5's.. they look cool and would help to take a little twang out of the bow,. it's fairly quiet but i used to shoot a vertical bow, so i am used to a little less noise.. thanks again for the great info.. that's why i love this ...

My son and I have taken our fair share of deer .We hunt on public land mostly. None of our deer are on the wall, but they are all trophys to us. We do get razzed by some people, when we bring in a doe or small buck. But thats their problem ,they just don't get it , or they watch to many hunting sho...
