Re: Broadhead Questions
For us, it's the X-acts, I tried testing many mech's BH's over a year ago, found none more durable in testing, & POI was same as target tips out of our bows. As for deer, last year the wife shot a 4 point, using a Ibex, was not the best hit, center of deer, in the liver, exit hole opened it up l...

Twilight DLX ...Thinking I like it
Ya I know I'am late to the party, on this scope. Just got a new twilight dlx & put it on the vortex today, the scope sure helps my old eyes, I can read the writing on the target at 20 yards  I did not know there was writing on it before, Out of the box it was real close at 20 yards...

Re: RAIN! RAIN! RAIN!
Feel kind'a bad about posting it.....but we been on the wet side for most of the summer around this part of Mich. I think 9 days is the longest we've gone without rain, I know my brother lives about 60 miles south east of here & up until the rain last week he was dryer than popcorn fart.

Re: Best Target For Broadhead Practice
Started with one of those crossbow block target for $99.00 for me I found it to be a waste of money, just did not last if you shoot alot.
Bought a Rineheart, & feel it's the best target for us, it's still going strong, found it to be very durable.

Re: Expandables for Excal?
I spent way to much money last year testing many brands of broadheads with the wifes & mine excal's, nothing specal in the testing, just how they flew, how durable when shot though different things, 1/4ing shots, how soon the blades opened on impact (if they opened every time upon hitting or if ...

Re: vertical bow guys hating on crossbows
I'am not so sure anymore if it's just some hate crossbows, this was the 1st forum I had ever joined, I have since joined a few others also having to do with archery. I think people just like to hate anything or anyone that is not just like them, I guess it's the old saying that you are free to use, ...

Re: New models
Ya I think excal is behind.....They stand right behind me, and they sure seem to have my back, and odds are 20 years from now, looking at history, they will still be right there. Warranty is a very over used word, it's only as good as the campany, and how reliable & durable there products are, I...

Re: Shooting My Crossbow
Glad to hear your feeling better
Had my share of those back injections a few years ago, while on the mend, they worked alot longer then washing down painkillers with whiskey.
You take care.

Re: upgrades to bow before deer season?
I put a god-a-grip rubber on the bottom of the forestock & a rubber type recoil pad on the stock, (not sure if it helps with sound, I think it does, but i don't hear so good anymore. ). But it seems to help with a more solid hold. Also we really like the excal cheekpiece, helps line up the...
