Re: New trigger system
Hello everyone, sorry to have gone quite for a few days. Have been away in the US for vacation and it gave me some time to think about where I am going from here. I am definitively continuing with Patenting the trigger system. Once the provisional patent is filed I can then start exploring options o...

Re: New trigger system
I do appreciate all the feedback I am getting and I have also received a few private messages offering support which I will certainly consider. Here are some pictures of the test rig I made so I could torture test my prototypes. The trigger assembly is clamped on one side and is connected to a ratch...

Re: New trigger system
Judging from the amount of interest and feedback in such a short time it seems I have struck a chord on the subject of Excalibur triggers. I don't know if its because the current trigger is considered the holy grail in the crossbow world and one shouldn't mess with the holy grail?? Anyway after read...

Punching holes in paper would be a different story.
JMO,

The operating word is adjustable!!! a couple turns on a screw and you can have a 5lbs trigger if you so desire.

Re: New trigger system
How much lighter are you making the lower sear? I can't talk too much about the internals however it has nothing to do with making the sear lighter. The pressure on the sear is totally independent of the draw weight. The original Excalibur trigger is a lot like the 1911 trigger system where the pre...

Re: New trigger system
A PHOTO OF IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE MATE. CAN YOU POST ONE As I said it's identical to an OEM trigger only the internals are different. I can't somehow upload a picture the forum won't allow it. I will try to get a youtube video up that shows the trigger being subjected to a 400lb test load in a day...

Re: New trigger system
Interesting take. Just so you know a replacement OEM Excalibur trigger is 250$. Also the current cost estimate is base on very low volumes say for a signature series of 100 pcs. The price would come down once the volume is higher. I don't know if 75$ is possible although.

New trigger system
Hello everyone, Together with a friend I have developed a new trigger system that makes it possible to have an adjustable trigger pull down to half a pound and have the same feel like a match rifle. The trigger effort is independent of the draw weight and has been tested to 400 lbs. The trigger syst...
