Re: Introduction (new guy)/Excalibur appreciation

Hi Kurt they aren't lying this really is THE BEST FORUM I've ever been on. These people know Excalibur bows as well as anything to go along with it. It seems I learn something new every day I'm on here.

Re: Best way to quiet an Excalibur?

Hi huntsman, If you like the bow I would just buy it because I've read a lot on a lot of different forums and I haven't come across anything where noise from shooting a crossbow was a problem harvesting game. Now as loud as crossbows are you'd think this would be discussed as much as arrows and lube...

Re: Targets

The best target for field points to me is the Spyderweb you can stand a foot away from it and your arrows only go in 4 or 5 inches and that's point blanc. Real easy to pull out too. But you can't use broadheads. David at wyvern creations told me about it. I got one with a bow purchase. Rinehart 18:1...

Re: Which One??? Equinox or Vortex and why?

If you can try them out I wouldn't let the loudness stop me from getting the equinox because I really don't hear anyone complaining about that stopping them from killing animals. Servings your going to have to deal with either way, so just jump into learning how to re-serve it's not hard to learn. A...

Re: Blazer X2 vanes

That's awesome results. I'm going to in the near future start building my own arrows and I will definitely keep these vanes in mind. I like mechanicals better but I'm going to play with some different things next year just for the fun of it. I feel there is a human factor in performance so I've foun...

Re: NAP Quick fletch

I'm going to let the boiling water cool slightly then and try not to keep them in it any longer than I have to. Out of the two types I saw in Cabelas, quickspin, has little ridge at the top of the vane to make it spin even sooner and more....must be for fixed broadheads and the twister. I'm getting ...

Re: Cameras

While your checking them all out find out about battery life and cost to replace. Some cameras can cost you as much as the camera cost real quick in battery replacement. Just a tip.

Re: NAP Quick fletch

Almost forgot I've got one more question. I noticed strum and now Wayne both have twisters. Is it preference or are twisters better for crossbows?

Re: NAP Quick fletch

That's good to hear okxbowhunter. I have an ancient jig but I let all my buddies use it over the years and it's time for a new one. But I'm waiting till beginning of next year to get back into the arrow building again because I need all the stuff to do it right. Going to be an investment plus I'm tr...

Re: NAP Quick fletch

They look really nice strum. Part of why I'm asking about them is it's a quick way to try out smaller higher tech vanes.

Re: NAP Quick fletch

Strum do they " feel " cheaper made? Does the arrow track on a crossbow affect them more as far as wear? Any minor accuracy differences opposed to jigging an arrow?
