Re: Canned hunts
As has been said before, that ain't hunting..just killing.
One of the vids Excal has (sorry guys) is of a canned bear hunt. They just wait as the bears come and go until the one they want (big enough) comes in for the bait.
Lame. Only word I know, expletives excluded, that fits.

Re: Poll: The Type of String I Use -Edited
I didn't vote because an option didn't cover me. I have no fear of dry firing at this point, but still a rookie I don't see any reason to go all out yet. Besides...it'll be until next hunting season that I could use a Boo anyway... I'm using Danny's Super String..the Dracon flemish. I separated the ...

Re: Breaking in my Equinox
Thanks, Hank...I'm waiting on a polishing kit from Boo....hopefully any day now. This separation, though, didn't happen near the hook. Perhaps the hooks dug in, but the separation appeared at the center of the serving. I'm hangin in...500 shots would be awesome!

Re: Breaking in my Equinox - Update
So, after shooting one day about 3 weeks ago, trying to dial the scope in and getting off about 80 shots or so, my serving gave out...separated, not wore out (total was about 125 shots on this string). Being smart, I just emailed Boo directly for advice. The gentleman was kind enough to speak with m...

Re: New Cross bow hunter here
Welcome aboard!
I used Rage 2 blades with my vert, so I'm gonna try the XB versions this year. Fly straight and left a gaping exit wound.
Following the advice of the other fine posters, I opted to get some 1" slick tricks to try for turkey. I want some meat left...

Re: arrow removal
I use shelf material...the honeycombed stuff that's tacky and you line shelves and draws with, to pull my arrows. Cheap and gives a great grip...assuming you have enough shaft to grab. I bought a small cabela's shot stopper last year, and it's holding up pretty well (fp's only). The middle's getting...

I'm using the Firebolts with 100gr, so 367, if the charts are correct. Plenty of fpe with the Eq.

Re: Boar vs Relayer
One fine pig you have there! They say we have feral hogs here in PA, but I don't know anyone who's seen them. Wish I knew more folks (transplant)!
Enjoy the eatin'!
