I'm pretty sure you only need about 50 yards by 1 yard in order to make a hunt exciting!
Thanks! If only you could train deer to walk in a straight line!

Re: luminoks not staying all that tight
Yeah... that sounds a WHOLE lot easier. I feel pretty stupid now having monkeyd around with it for as long as I did last night. Only advantage to my way might (and I say might) be that I run less of a risk of the nock not being seated property because your method might make it want to pivot about th...

Nothing better than taking one off your own dirt.
Way to go!

Re: luminoks not staying all that tight
Here's what I did. Attempt 1: some receipt paper (nice and thin). I wrapped it aroun the top of the nock and just like Sandman, I had it rid up a little bit and get in the way of the connection. Attempt 2: Receipt paper wrapped around the bottom of the nock. Contacts stayed clear, but it didn't get ...

Hmmmm. Tasty. I've never made any polish style sausage. I have a kick arse spicy breakfast sausage deal that is good any time of the day.

luminoks not staying all that tight
As would only be common sense in my opinion, I have been target practicing with luminoks. Shot a deer last Friday and it turned off shot target just now and when I went to loosen nock yo turn it off, the whole thing slipped out. So far, I'm NOT impressed. They are the right ones for GT laser two bol...

Re: Good eats... last night's dinner
I got a request for some more info on the squash. Figured I'd post it up: If you aren't worried about low carb (which one person in my house is, but clearly it's not me and my taters!) you might want to add some bread crumbs to the top and put a few pats of butter on them. That would be good. Anyway...

Re: Best Climber Treestand for XBow
Good post.
Mine was stolen last year off a piece that was left next to a meth haven.
Can anybody tell me more about ones with shooting rails? I'd like one for cross bow, but NEED one for that property where I rifle hunt, but can't leave a stand there without it being stolen.

Yeah, those backstraps were about all that was left of her.
if you mean were there any leftovers, then the answer is no. Some greens left, but that's it!

Luminok question: Failure rate????
So, I have three flat butt luminoks in my carbon crossbow bolts. To date they have worked every time I have shot my bag target. However, when I shot that deer on Saturday (complete pass through) the light went off when it went thorugh the deer. Fortunately it was a close shot in the broad dayligt so...

Well, now you can try to get another gag trip in before the season goes out again. Not sure about all that. We'll see, though just now got boat back in the water, so maybe. I do think we're going to go wear out some black snapper after work one nigh this week. Buddy of mine just dove a real ...

Re: Redemption... I think. ??? First crossbow deer. Got h
That is a heck of a hole in that deer what broad head did you use a splitting maul. congrats . on the arrow impact thing are you using a rope cocker to cock the bow? This is the second deer I have killed with a Rage 100 grain. The last one was with V bow and it was just about as devestating. Keep i...

Re: Redemption... I think. ??? First crossbow deer. Got h
I will say this, my bow is pretty much dead on. I posted on Friday about potential GT Laser II issues. Of my 6 bolts in that package, half have had their own attitude. I nock **** vane in rail every time and I had a right hand flyer, a low fligher, and a NW flyer out of te 6. The right hand flyer w...
