Re: Dissipator bars/unstringing ?

Thanks, I too usually want to see what something is made of. But I am fairly young, 37, and would like this bow to last the rest of my "useful" life, however long that may be, because this bow is AWESOME ! I do not however baby it when I'm hunting, I don't abuse it I USE it, just like my t...

Re: Dissipator bars/unstringing ?

Thanks abunch guys ! I was gonna put my string on the wall on 2 nails so it wouldn't loose the twists, just like on the bow. Is the baggie to keep the pads from drying up or just to keep it all together?

Dissipator bars/unstringing ?

I'm gonna unstring my Vortex for the season. Do I take just the pads off or the whole bar ? I know it's early but I haven't had time to shoot in a few weeks so I figure I'm done till about July or August. Or do I not even need to unstring ? Just figured I'd let the pressure off the limbs.

Re: Range finders

I just ordered the Bushnell combo a couple weeks ago, knife, 10x42 binocs, bone collector dvd, and Bushnell scout 1000 arc. I like it all alot. Binocs are good for the truck, blind, house, whatever. Needed an OK knife to keep clipped on my safety vest in case I ever have to cut myself down. Rangefin...

Re: Tamed some of the noise out of the Phoenix

The retension clip was the first thing I took care of on my Vortex. Only difference is I slid a piece of shrink tubing up on it, all but the end that makes contact with arrow, then heated it and I was good. No more twanggggg when I touched one off.

Re: Here, kitty kitty!

Please don't be offended but that is a super old picture, I seen it last year on a buddies phone and on the internet. Might be more reason to not like the little fellar, if he's lying now about trail-cam pics aint no tellin what he'd lie about.

thank's yall, especially Boo !

Built me a serving jig, kinda sorta copied the one Boo has on his web site. Then I started serving strings following along with Don's video. I was scared to death on the first one, a little more comfortable on the 2nd one, took my time and paid attention to what I did wrong and right. The 3rd one wa...

Re: best serving material and size

Thanks a bunch ! Would the slick Halo have a tendancy to jump under my arrows, I shoot carbon express maxima hunters with the plastic nocks. I polished the claws down tonight, on my third string in about 4-5 weeks. I'm real careful not to overcock my bow also, and use the rope cocker. Built me a jig...

Question for the string Guru's

My set up : Vortex-carbon express maxima arrows-rope cocker-varizone scope-100gr. tips-factory string and flemish string. Question, why does the factory string shoot alot more accurate than the flemish (gray and black)? At 50 yds the factory will drive tacks, groups open up to 3-4 inches with flemis...

Re: At the beach for halloween!

So far it's been great but a boy got stabbed and killed here in Aug. so I figure that's why security is so good now. We...

Re: Is serving supposed to be in middle?

All is well ! No worries folks I don't get ill that quick ! That's part of what I like about you guys....and gals on here. I'm just glad that my string is "normal". I did have it jump under the string twice, using carbon express arrows with plastic nocks. I know, I'm gonna get some arrows ...
