My old xbow has an anti dryfire mechanism on it. But I always fired it off at the target in the yard at the end of the night. It was a good way to make sure it was still hitting where it was suppose to after every time out, but it was pretty dark out by than.

Where are the deer
The buck part of the archery season started on Saturday. I have been out for 3 nights and I haven't seen anything but squirrels. I think the PGC did to good of a job thinning the herd.

Well, I turned the bow around and cranked it with my left hand with the scope toward me and everything was going okay for a couple of shots. Until one time I learned against my scope to hard and the butler creek flip open scope cap got pushed back alittle farther than it was suppose to go . They don...

Thanks for the information. I never thought about turning the bow around and cranking it that way. I got to try that.
