Re: food plots
You'll need to decide what you're trying to accomplish. Perennial plot to nourish the herd or an annual killing plot timed for bow or rifle season for example. Check out the QDMA website forums. They're a great resource for information on foodplots, habitat improvement etc.

Re: O/T - Canadian Gun Registry - Your Thoughts?
The biggest problem I had with the registry was the cost, which was over a billion $$$. Registering the firearms was easy and I never had a hassle registering a new or used firearm. I'll be happy however when it's gone. Glad there is still a handgun registry and strict rules regarding transport and ...

Re: Yrs of Trying BH's
I'm still shooting Wasp 130gr Cam-locs and have no desire to change any time soon, even though they aren't made anymore. As long as the blades aren't destroyed after the shot there is no reason not to re-use them. I simply touch them up with my KME broadhead sharpening kit. Only takes a few minutes ...

Re: O/T Wood Burner Help
I've replaced the gasket every 3 years or so & it's an easy fix. For what it's worth, I would stay away from the glue as I've never had good luck with it. I use the black gasket cement and it works great. Remember to really clean the channel well and sand out the old glue / cement to ensure good...

Re: Question about night time Trail Cam pics
I've had white flash & IR flash trail cameras. The deer don't seem to react too much to either (most of the time). Some say they equate white flash to lightning, and the IR flash is barely noticeable to begin with. The flash happens VERY fast & isn't accomanied by sound or smell, so I don't ...

Re: Help Installing Sling swivel studs
Would anyone know what the correct size of swivel studs required? I can't seem to find any info on them and I don't want to get the wrong parts.

Help Installing Sling swivel studs
I have a 12 yr old Vixen that doesn't have sling swivel studs on it. I know where they are supposed to go, but am unsure on how to install them and what size or type to use. Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

I have 4 Scoutguard SG550V's in the field running on rechargeable AA's without any problems. Glad I didn't by the M80 afterall if it won't run on rechargebles.

Re: Broken stringing aid
I tried my new black one at lunch hour, worked like a charm and was really easy to adjust for length. Basically I just watched the video on this site to make sure I was doing it right and VOILA, had the brace height perfect in 2 minutes.

Lots of them on Craigslist. Try using one of the search engines that allow you to search all of Craigslist at the same time. There are usually 1/2 dozen available at any given time.

Re: Broken stringing aid
Now that's a strange coincidence.... I had the same thing happen to me last night when I decided to change the brace height on my dads Vixen. The limbs appear to be okay, gonna fire it tomorrow to make sure. Mine was the really old style with a white nylon (?) square donut with a hole in the middle ...

Re: A "screwy"question.....
One more screw question then I'm done, promise! When I bought the scope mount and the rings he threw in the quiver mounting bracket as a freebie..... but there weren't any screws with it (yeah, I double-checked). Any idea what size the 2 quiver mounting bracket screws are? Thanks again guys.

Re: A "screwy"question.....
I believe the screws come with the bracket, yup, just opened one up and they are in there. Size, couldn't tell you but they are in the package. RED Actually there weren't any screws in the ziplok type bag that the mount was shipped in. However, I took another look inside the mailing envelope that i...
