X-act practice head?
Searching and reading various threads from this forum, I have read that there is a practice head available, although I haven't found a viable source. So, once and for all, is there a practice head, and if so, where would one purchease it from? Thanks for any replies.

Re: 8 point down
Jeff,
Congrats on a beauty of a buck!!! I to liked the snowfall, it was all white at my place. Saw a 3 point last night, only deer I saw. It's great you were able to recover your deer by yourself, makes a man feel good!! Also nice to have friends willing to help!!

Diablos and x-act mechanical
I have on layaway a Matrix 330 that comes with 18" diablos. I am contemplating trying a mechanical and wonder if the x-act, or the spitfire would work with the diablos? I do not know the weight of the insert in the diablos. I know the x-act is a 100 gr, and I believe the spitfire comes in 100 o...

Too warm!!
Here in central Michigan the temp has been unseasonably warm and really makes hunting unbearable. Only had one frost, minimal, and the temps are in the 70's in the daytime and dropping only into the 60's at night. Hoping for cooler weather!

Re: DIY Crossbow Holder?
Looks good! Would it be beneficial if the stirrup slot was tilted slightly back somewhat, providing easier withdrawal of the bow? Just a thought. Either way I think you're on to something.

Finger guard
I have a Phoenix without the finger guards and wonder if any of you have a home remedy you might share. I'm more concerned with the grand kids getting overly excited in a hunting situation even though they have been properly trained in safety and target shooting. Thanks in advance.

Re: New guy with questions
Hank,
Thanks for the reply! That is a great suggestion to epoxy the blades closed, then you could switch the epoxied broadhead to other arrows to see how they fly. What is your opinion of the x-act and Matrix 330 combo?

New guy with questions
I've had a Phoenix for a number of years but didn't hunt with it much until this season and harvested a small 6 point buck and a turkey! I have been very happy with the Phoenix and have not any issue whatsoever with it. I used the standard 20" firebolt and 150 grain boltcutters. With 4 grandkid...

Re: shooting sticks?
Has anyone used the "ready-shot" monopod?
It was recommended on another forum but when I googled it, only a photo and ordering instructions were included. It looks to be promising but there was no information on materials, usage, etc.

String Waxing?
I've just ordered some accessories for my new "Phoenix" from a vendor that was recommended on this forum. When I said I wanted some wax, he told me to wax the string, but not the serving or the rail. When I stated that the instructional video claimed the serving should be waxed, he emphati...

Do any of you ground blind hunters use a "shooting stick, or bipod" to steady the aim of your Excalibur?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Ordered a Phoenix
I just ordered the Phoenix with the "lite package" along with some 150 grain bolt cutters and replacement blades. I went back and forth between the Vortex and the Phoenix and finally made my choice due to the fact I'm going on 63 years of age, and hopefully down the road I will still be ab...
