Congratulations TAC on your first buck. It is definitely the memory of a lifetime. I shot my first buck, a spike, 45 years ago and I can remember the details of that hunt as if it were yesterday. Unfortunately, I can't remember everything else like that! Significant emotional events tend to stick wi...

I currently shoot 100 grain Muzzys. I have killed four deer with my emag. All were rib shots and pass throughs. Some shots left a good blood trail others did not. The Muzzys will work fine for you. I recently purchased some Magnus 2 blade heads that I want to try in the future. They are easier to sh...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Basel1/2004Buck.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Basel1/2004Buck1.jpg I shot this 10 point last Friday evening. I had been watching my alfalfa fields all summer and I didn't see any good bucks. I only saw a small 6 point and a 4 point. Last Wednesday...

I have a hand crank model that I purchased for $15 at a yard sale. It works great for making jerky. I usually bone out large hunks for jerky and place them in the freezer. When it's time to make jerky, I partially thaw the meat and then slice it into 1/4" slabs. I am getting hungry just thinkin...

I will hunt with my Summit climber from 15 - 25 feet depending on the circumstances. If I am in a poplar grove, I will usually hunt high because of the lack of cover at the lower levels. I keep my full body harness on at all times. When I reach hunting height, I set my anchor point so that I can jus...

I just purchased a package of Magnus 2 blades. I have used Muzzys in the past but wanted to try the Magnus. I plan to use them on my emag this weekend and see how they fly.
