Re: SW Ontario deer hunting license help
So I've done a little more digging and found this "brochure" from 2011 --- and I hope it doesn't change, but this is the MNR we're talking about. I think my interpretation of it is correct--Someone please correct me if I'm wrong If I want a second seal for Archery season, I can get one as ...

Re: Attn:Halton Turkey Hunters!
There has been reported bears in SW Ontario last couple of years. Last year was NE of Woodstock (between Innerkip and Drumbo) and the year before was north of Woodstock (Near Hickson).

Re: SW Ontario deer hunting license help
I checked. From my interpretation, all WMUs allow bow hunting during gun season as none exclude it...in fact some list bow and muzzle loaders only. My area (WMU 90B) excludes bow during gun season. On page 67 (not the pdf page) of the 2012 regulations it states when you are able to bow hunt (Basica...

Awesome, Thank you Ont_Excal.
Wasn't sure if it was "additional seals". Makes sense.

Re: SW Ontario deer hunting license help
Thank you Madmax2 We've been doing the controlled hunt for almost 10 years now. It's the "bow" tag that is new to us/throwing me off and I can't find anything in the regs. What we've done in the past is submit for the controlled hunt via the telephone and when we "win", we'll go ...

SW Ontario deer hunting license help
First off, let me apologize for the long post. I just got my first crossbow for Christmas, I've been a long time "gun" hunter. I hunt in SW Ontario and we have the controlled deer/shotgun hunt (WMU 90 B). So my question/clarification of my understanding is actually two parts. First part Fo...

Re: KONY 2012 (Please watch the video)
TYE; First off, I'm not trying to pick a fight and I do support the overthrow of Kony; I don't think Invisible Children has totally thought the situation through and IC as an organization is as "Clean" as it makes itself appear to be. I saw this a couple of days ago and I found these two b...

Re: O/T Describe the usual border crossing?
I've never had a problem, but here is my non-technical observations. When you choose your line, choose the line closest to the building (during the summer months). Usually the senior guys get the closer booths. The summer students and the not so liked "outcasts" of employees gets booted to...

Re: Gun Registry
I had the opportunity to visit Singapore a few yeras ago. I totally understand that it is a tiny country with very little natural wild areas, but not only is it illegal to own a firearm, it is illegal to posses a bullet. Perhps I am comparing apple to oranges. Interesting. Wonder what the actual cr...

Re: Gun Registry
If I remember correctly (and that is getting fewer and farther between). A Mini 14 "Ranch" rifle is non-restricted, while a "tactical" version is restricted in nature, due to it's barrel being shorter then 18.5" AND Centrefire AND Semi-automatic; (but the Regular Ranch rifle...
