Congrats on the Exomax. It's a fine piece of equipment (It's what I own and use).
It's a beast to say the least. Drawing up is hard (I'm an average built guy and 5'9"); and I find that the last 2-3" when drawing is sometimes tough (even tougher, if I forget to take the safety off )

Re: What to do to keep rust from forming on Excal's???
I put Breakfree CLP on it and let it soak overnight and wiped off excess in morning. I haven't' had any problems yet. I've also heard good things about G96 CLP also.

Re: Ontario Controlled hunt - Extra Tags
Just a little off topic
If I buy an additional tag for controlled hunt and don't use it, can I use it as a regular "buck" tag for the rest of bow season?
(Sorry, this is my first year with a bow/additional tag)

Re: Crossbow wont hold sights?
There is a larger gap in my rings on one side. Maybe i can try re mounting the scope That sounds like the problem right there. If the rings are "off kilter" it will bind on the scope when mounting and with the crossbow shooting, it may throw the scope around. Basically, the scope is free ...

EHD= Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease
I thought it was the same as chronic wasting disease; apparently I was wrong. Time to do some reading

Re: Varizone speed ring?
I ran into the same problem. Then I cranked my speed dial almost to 350. (I know that I'm not shooting 350fps with a factory Excel string). Check out the FAQ section here on Excalibur --question/answer #10 (see link below). It fixed my problem. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/content/frequently_ask...

Re: An older video tour of Excalibur
Doe Master;
I'll see if I can get the person in question to come onto the forum and post on this thread. Sorry, but I cannot in good faith "name drop". It has to do with operational security with our current vocations. (No, we're not CSIS ).

Re: An older video tour of Excalibur
Thank you for posting. One of the Excal staff members in the video is now a current colleague of mine. I'm gonna have to harass them about the circa 1990's hairdo.

Awesome. Thank you for the quick replies.
I feel so much better (even more so, since I let my daughter shoot it too).

Did I do something wrong to get this??
I've emailed Excalibur and asked for their opinion, but I thought I'll post it here to see what everyone else thinks. I bought my Exomax last Nov (I didn't get to open it until Christmas Day). I assembled it and have placed about 50 shots through it since then and to be honest, I've never really pai...

Do yourself a favor. Get the insulin pump. It will add years to your life, literally.

Re: Women In The Outdoors weekend - its not too late!
Just a little bump of the thread and to plug my club / hosting club of the Women in the Outdoors Weekend 2012.
East Elgin Sportsman Association is having their yearly open house this coming weekend (June 9th and 10th). It's open to shooters and non-shooters alike.
