My arrows are aux naturale.
I love the smell of the burn.

Re: A Couple Techie Questions
I have a bunch of Horton bolts I am trying to use up. Tey have moon nocks and a cock vane. Maybe I should just dump them. I am going to be shooting today so I will look at the spring, and check out the rail. I have some arrows I've not shot so I should be able to use those to check for wear. Do not...

Re: A Couple Techie Questions
This thread is growing quite nicely. I doubt flipping ths tring would do anything. I use a cocking rope and when I first got the bow I marked the edge of the rail on the serving so I could tell if I cocked it with proper alignment. By the time those marks wore off I felt confident in my ability to k...

Re: Bugs Build along
I too have a hamer like that. It was left at the farm my parents bought in 59. There were many tools including a blacksmith forge and other old tools. At one time a previous owner used horses to work the land as part of the barn was a stable at one time. When I think about it, I sometimes wish I sti...

WTG, on some good eats.
After all the praise heaped on this bh, I'd be buying some if I didn't have so many muzzys.
Bring on the pics.

Re: A Couple Techie Questions
I don't worry about marks, but do like to see marks on both sides of the rail. Shooting will always wear on something and I can live with it as long as it's only cosmetic and does not affect accuracy. I was worried about shaft integrity. We all know how glass is cut, will etching carbon arrows be a...

Re: Wondering
We will all become rickety, just some sooner than others.
My feeling is that at that point in time, an inch difference in draw length will not help you.
I am not going to mess with the geometry of my bow.
I will unfortunately resort to using the crankaroo.

Re: new digital scale question
I use a RCBS single beam powder scale that I used to use for reloading at one time.
I also bought a cheap digital scale, but unfortuantely it does not weigh in grains.
It now gets used in the spam.

How about flipping the limbs?
To see if it is the limbs, switch them out left for right.
Then test fire and view the result.

Good so far.
Use as many words as you like.
1 picture is worth a thousand words, or so I'm told.

Re: Did some work on the Vortex
I did my rail with some foam pipe wrap.
Sqeeze by hand to make it smaller and the push inside with a piece of old arrow shaft.
For the stirup, I used cloth type camo tape and a thin layer of the same foam underneath.
Made a noticeable difference.
