Re: Prayer request

Part of the problem is the individual sitting behind a monitor and keyboard. People say and do things they would not do in person. They vent on someone anonymously because they can. The true cause of their own pain is on their side of the computer terminal. These days there far too many people tryin...

Re: Frontal Shot?

I totally agree. I don't like the smell, the mess, or ruining the tender loins with busted guts. I've never lost any meat due to a shot through the gut. I've lost more meat form old wounds trying to heal over. Rinse the inside of the carcas as soon as you can. I usually bring a jug of water with me...

Re: Frontal Shot?

Sir, you don't have to defend yourself to me. I take no offence to your style of hunting. Over the last 30 years I have read my hunting articles by Chuck Adams. Back in his early hunting career, he wore a brown knit cap and regular street clothes. Now he is all about promotion. Anyway, I remember mo...

Re: Made a bad shot...

Well that's good to hear. I'll bet it was easy once you calmed down and took a fresh look. You know where the buck was standing when you shot. Locate the buck's hair from the exit wound. That will point you in the general direction. If you know someone with a metal detector, that might make it easie...

For final cleaning, isopropyl alcohol and or methyl hydrate should be safe to use.
Always worked on my aluminum shafts.

Re: Crossbow storage

I leave mine strung all year long as I could be out shooting it any day of the year.
I have a big country yard so I don't have to go to a shooting club.

Re: Just my luck!!

As I read of your plight memories of my own such folly come to mind.
I have no doubt that every one who has hunted deer has been outwitted by them.
They don't carry watches but they seem to figure out our schedules pretty well.
It'll be all the sweeter when you get the drop on one of them!! :D

Re: Firebolts...how many times can you fletch?

Are you using a contaminated rag when you clean with acetone. The reason I ask is because the debonder you use will also keep the new application of glue from setting. Do not use the same rag. The other thing is that I would let the arrows dry longer after using the debonder. After the arrows have b...
