For me the season runs to the 15th of Dec. in the wmu where I hunt deer.
Here at home the season closes Nov. 7th.
Daily limit of 5 and possession limit of 10.
10 is just enough for a good sized crock pot of squirrel. yum yum

Re: your thoughts on stand elevation ??

To each their own preference. Going higher has a cost of diminished returns attached. The higher one goes...............the smaller the kill zone. I've had buck so close to me on the ground that I could have spit on him. Eventually shot him broadside at 18 yards. During a muzzleloader season I was h...

Exactly my thoughts on this as well.
This year my only option is a buck only tag.
3 inches or more of horn is a legal buck here in Ontario.
I'll be dropping the first one that meets that requirement.

Re: Arrow Wraps...

I'm looking for a reflective wrap for my arrows but I only want a 1" wide relfective wrap between the nock and the fletching. I've seen this on some arrows but cannot find a supplier. Does anyone know where I can find this? Here is the best one I've found to date. http://www.onestringer.com/in...

Re: acorns falling = no deer at the feeder

I don't bother with saving the acorns from one season to the next.
If next year is a poor crop of acorns then the deer will hit the feeders better.

To save acorns one would have to freeze them.
Not sure if it's worth it as they will pick up all sorts of food odours.

My home area has a healthy crop of acorns as well.
Even for once the squirrels have quit attacking my bird feeders.

Re: hey guys !!!

The fact that you put your crossbow on hiatus doesn't mean you can't be part of the forum.
Bowtech is now part of the Excalibur family and they make vertical bows as well.

Whatever you shoot post it up.
We all enjoy the eye candy and tales of hunting adventures.

Re: PA hunting closed.

From what I've read, this guy sounds like a real life Rambo.
I don't think he plans on being taken alive and plans on taking as many officers as he can.
I feel for the men and women who must try to bring him to justice.
