Re: Erratic BH flight between bows

Well, the M380 with the Quill just throws the bolts all over the place. At least with this BH on a BEZS it is always low/left. Going the other way, the BEZS out of the Mag340, it flies consistently, just hits a different spot than with the Quill. Spin test shows both set-ups are rotating true. I di...

Re: Erratic BH flight between bows

As Boo suggested earlier…the faster bow and stiffer arrow are highlighting some BH alignment issues I suspect. If it’s the BH I think…. Make sure the individual blades don’t have any bends…..especially the very tip of the blade. A smal curled over tip could cause havoc at the higher speed. Also just...

Re: Blood trails

200gr VPA 3 blade or 2 blade single bevel for me.
I sharpen the 3 blades on a curved sharpener to reduce the angle to 44 degrees. Very sharp. Very deadly.

I like the creative way on the destruct they use a simple screw....ingeniously simple but cool and efficient.
Looks like a RamCat with better blades maybe. Still kinda thin IMO.

Re: CWD

To me this has all come about from deer farming and baiting….especially the use of mineral blocks etc where they lick the same thing. And once it’s in an area it is almost impossible to remove. There was an elk farm where the elk got it I think in Colorado. They killed all the elk, burned off the la...

Re: Twinstrike illegal in New Hampshire

You and I seem very similar. I too have gone tbe stick bow route. Shooting a recurve. What’s your bow and arrow setup? I’m shooting black Eagle traditional carbons with VPA 300 gr 3 blades with 4” feathers. Weigh over 600 gr total. My bow only pulls 50 ish at my draw weight. It’s a Timberhawk custom...

Re: 16.5" Bolt Shooters - how are you getting the weight up?

I shoot 16” zombie slayers with 110gr brass inserts, lumenoks, blazers and 200gr VPA 3 blade broadheads. Really close to 500 gr total weight, fly like darts and plow through anything.

Oh yeah. I shoot them from my vintage gen 1 micro 335.

Re: OT: Vertical toys?

I got hooked on the recurve bug a few years back and I really enjoy it. It takes a lot to get good enough to fling an arrow at a deer. But I enjoy shooting t and all the tinkering that goes into getting a good hunting arrow. Have fun! I bought a Timberhawk bow and absolutely love it. Grip fits me re...
