Martina's First Buck
Seems like I have been making a lot of these posts the last few days, but this is another chapter to what has to be one of the best weeks of hunting that I have ever had. We have been really blessed this season especially with two daughter both hunting for their first season. We were setup this even...

Emily's First Deer and First Buck.
Tonight was my oldest daughter Emily's turn to hunt. We got settled into the stand after school and work at about 4:30. At about 5:50 a doe entered the field to our right. It was just getting into shooting range when it heard something back in the woods. Not sure why, but it took off back into the w...

Martina's First Deer
Well the deer didn't read the script, because they came in from the direction that they weren't supposed to and got us pinned down. The one got within 10 yards and sensed something was up. It finally turned enough to offer a shot and Martina made it count. It only went about 100 yards. It was quarte...

Re: My Opinion on The Matrix 380
The guys that frequent these forums aren't your average crossbow user. I think I read somewhere that 90% of the people that buy a crossbow package never change out the accessories. Most of the people on here are in that other 10%. A lot of it isn't because the stock accessories are bad, but are just...

Re: Inconsistent shots
Check all bolts and screws on your bow and scope. Crossbows are bad about that especially on a new bow.

Re: Best target for Matrix 380
Rinehart also makes the Rhinoblock. Same material as the 18-1, but is just a bigger target with a couple of sides being a 3dish look of the deer vital area.

Re: twisting(shortening) string
You can do all your twist from one end if you wish. One thing I recommend though is when you twist your string you make sure to turn it over so the other side rides on the rail. It will extend your serving life.

Yep. I just ordered some BEE arrows and swhacker broadheads to use this year. Can't wait to try them out. Season in PA starts Oct 5.

Re: My Matrix Strings Problems ?
Mike,
I haven't had any problem at all with your string coming off and I keep mine right up by the REDS. I also believe that I have one of the early strings that you made for the Matrix and have hundreds of shots on mine. It still looks good. I will let you know if I do have any issues.

Re: home made ladder stands
I have looked at doing this, but unless you can get the materials really cheap, it is hard to make them for what you can buy a cheap ladderstand for.
