Re: Coyotes got to my 13 pointer before I did.
Beautiful deer. We have coyotes that are the size of wolves here in NY. They are an ongoing problem. They say we have no wolves in my area, but I saw the biggest black yote I've ever seen about two years ago. I was deer hunting and yote was not in season yet, but for fun I squeaked him in pretty cl...

Re: At least I heard a deer
Yup, Gov't gets greedy. I cannot believe you have to pay for a license you might not get to use, that's nuts. At first our doe draws cost $5 to enter, now it cost a couple bucks more, and now if you win, you have to pay another $20 to get it, on top of buying the regular license at $55.49. Hmmmmm, n...

Re: At least I heard a deer
The zone I hunt in has been nearly depleted of deer, it's really sad. After 10 yrs or so, the gov't continues to have doe lotteries, nearly everyone wins, then with the introduction of Xbow hunting, the number of hunters in the woods during bow season exploded, add to that lots of coyotes and voila,...

Some issues could also be if your using old glue. A while ago I asked Gorilla glue about the shelf life of their glue, and here was the response. " The shelf life of Gorilla Super Glue is 1+ years for a bottle that has been opened and 2+ years if unopened. I have an opened bottle that is still ...

Re: Any cold weather hunters?
Paul, it depends on the brand and the size of the heat pack, but the ones I get at Costco last quite a few hours. If you buy them individually, they get pricey, but by the box it's quite inexpensive, I think I paid $12 last year, and always have some left after the season which I use for yote huntin...

I buy those chemical packs, the ones you shake, and put them in my gloves and one behind my neck and another on my back and chest. If you buy them at Costco by the box, they are quite inexpensive.

Re: Went to a sex party today...well sought of!
I used to think like that, until I had two daughters, love having daughters, you get more hugs lol and my youngest daughter hunted with me until she went to college, now between school and work she has no time, but we had great times hunting. I even have a bonus, in that I also get to hunt with my G...

Re: Cocking on or off stand?
Here where I hunt it's illegal to have a xbow cocked or loaded, it has to be in a transport case until 30mins before sunrise or 30 mins after sunset. That said I usually arrive to my stand in the dark til it's level to load up the 2mins where I climb down from my stand to cock my xbow and get back ...

I use one for my Exocet 200 every time I practice, I could not do it without one due to a worn out body lol I find them a bit too pricey, but if it keeps you in the game it's worth it.

I also wrap my stand, it's also cuts the wind well.
This pic only shows half the stand wrapped, I somehow forgot the second half at home aghhh, had to put the second second half on the following week end.

Re: DIY Crossbow Holder?
So, none of them have shooting rails. If they did, I could probably just lay the xbow on top. Is that what most do? When my daughter is not with me in my two man ladder stand, that's what I do. My Exocet sits perfectly on the front rail and back rail of my stand, which makes it real easy to raise m...
