I like the 200# ers, but I haven't shot the 225s. My vortex does everthing I've needed to do with it, with power to spare! Completley severed the spine, took out the heart, and still hit the ground, on a big doe! I don't see that I need any more power than that. Did I mention how accurate it is? 1/2...

As far as I know all Excaliburs can be shot left handed. The saftey is in the rear so thats not a problem. The quiver can be mounted on the left side so thats not a problem either. If the model you choose has a cheek piece you have to turn it around. I believe thats all thats needed.

The thumbhole models seem to give me a bit more control than the traditional stocks. Mainly which ever one feels best in your hands. Try them both and then decide which is best for you. Either way you can't go wrong with Excalibur!

It seems to me that if a broadhead kills the intended target it has done its job. If its still useable, well thats just a added bonus!

I too have the vortex and I'm amazed at the accuracy of it also! Its the most consistant crossbow I've ever shot. Enjoy! I love that smell when I fire mine!
