Re: Opinions on Matrix

I own a 380 and my son has a 355. I purchased the 355 used here on trading post for a decent price with extras and a spare set of limbs. I had a Exomax but sold it and absolutely love my 380,wouldn't trade it for any bow. My son loves the 355 and took a 10 point with it last year. I think the 350 an...

Re: Unequal limbs when cocked. Normal?

When I purchased my 380 Matrix a few years ago I noticed the tiller was not equal between limbs by about 5/16". I contacted Excal and they had me send my limb and riser assembly back. I received it back with a different set of limbs. Not sure if it would have developed into a accuracy problem o...

I like the 400 range. I currently shoot 388 gr total arrow and head at 378 fps out of my 380 Matrix.

Re: OT Michigan Muzzle loader

Just a word of caution regarding the 3 inch spike minimum on one side. Zone 2 in particular has a lot of area that is under a antler point restriction rule. Make sure the area you will be hunting has a point restriction rule that allows for a buck to be taken with only a 3" antler. Some areas (...

Re: season end crossbow put away???

At the end of the Michigan deer season (dec) I remove the string from my M380 and store it in the case. Did the same with my Exomax when I owned it. From reading here I understand that there is probably no reason to remove the string but I personally feel better removing it while its stored for seve...

Re: crossbow used to kill three in Toronto

I thought that only the media here in the states was biased and corrupt. It sounds like it is world wide. Yes they will spin a lie just to support their warped agenda and it is getting real old real fast. We are trying to decide on a President with a choice of idiot number one or idiot number two an...

Re: Aluminium bolt nocks.

I use the Easton plastic flat nocks from Bowhunters Superstore. I use the 2216 Easton shafts and like the lighter weight of the plastic nocks verse aluminum inserts. Been using the Easton plastic nocks for 5 or 6 years with no issues. Never had any fail in any way.

Re: Should I keep my Matrix 380 Blackout or trade it for a M

I own a 380 Matrix and my son has the 355 Matrix...My 380 isn't going anywhere. To me its the perfect hunting bow. Super accurate with bone crushing power and just the right size and balance for me. Everyone is different but these are just my thoughts.

Re: 20" arrows ???

I shoot a 380 matrix. And I cut my arrows to 19 inchs for all the same reasons that gerald strine above mentioned. I don't think anyone would intentionally decock a xbow while leaving an arrow on the rail but after hunting all day and walking back to the truck in pitch dark, dead tired it can happen...

Re: Excal triggers

Got a brand new Cub for my grandson and after 15 shots the serving cut and was unraveling. I just reserved it with Angel Majesty and tried polishing the trigger fingers. Hopefully this improves....Its not like this xbow was inexspensive....The trigger unit looks just like the other Excalibur assembl...

I shoot a 380 Matrix with 388 gr arrow at 378fps. I use a Hawke scope with multiple crosshairs. Because it is so flat shooting I personally prefer to sight it in using just the primary crosshair. I use the primary reticle all the way out to 40 yds by simply sighting in at 20yds 2 inchs high I am sti...

Re: Sighting in using 20yd recticle only

I guess I wonder why limit yourself to just using the 20 yd reticle? Now if you are using a standard rifle scope with only a single reticle then you have no choice. I shoot a 380 Matrix and sight in for 2 inchs high at 20 yds. I can use the primary reticle all the way from 10-40 yds being 2 inchs lo...

Yes to all of the above or...just call your insurance provider and insure it for $1,500 and don't worry about. If someone breaks into my house while I am home and I feel threatened I have Glock to cover the situation. If no one is home and someone breaks in,steals my firearms or God forbid my Excali...

Re: Removing matrix limbs for storage

My experience with removal of the riser/limb assembly and then reinstalling and checking my zero has been exactly the same as Paul's. Never had a change in my zero. Its a very robust and repeatable assembly, well designed. I always figure there is a first time for everything and I personally just fe...
