Re: Beggars can't be choosers.
Dennis, I'd rather be lucky than good any day. It's all a matter of being in the right place at the right time along with a good dose of luck. You did good! Be proud man! Congratulations! X2- I know I would be proud of a buck like that. Last Friday was the first time that I have seen anything close...

Re: Continued Prayer Request ...
Well wishes and prayers.
My dad had a spot that the Docs thought may have been cancer. Cut a chunk the size of a walnut, sent it out. Sure enough, cancer. Rechecked by cutting a little more and sending off, luckly they got it all the first time......RR

Re: Swhacker tune up
Lake shooter, I was just at the Swhacker web site, under their FAQ, the question and answer was what you did, sand a little off the back, so it doesn't contact the bolt shaft. As to what I did to mine, shot a doe. Was hunting next door, first time, the doe came in quartering towards me, stepped part...

Re: Last day
Well, good luck. We had the same here, no acorns. Deer have been out on the fields, whether planted as a food plot, or just grass. .....RR

Re: Swhacker tune up
Nice idea. My swhackers left marks in the ferrules a just slightly in the arrows, but not enough to damage them. If shooting a fast bow, I can see how damage can occur. Not to hijack your thread, but I just finished destroying two Swhackers. Well, one was just the blades twisted, the other was the m...

Re: Late season observations
My late season observations are this: With only another few days left, season ends Saturday, bucks are running together, and loosing their antlers. Friday, saw two bucks, one was either a nice 6 or possibly an 8. The other, I called half rack, as he had already lost half. Neither got close enough, s...

Re: Deer season in your state?
Northern VA has a big problem, too many people  . They have an Urban archery season, and it really extends the hunting season. The only real problem I see is that the season is to control the deer population, basically does days, but because the bucks have dropped there racks, you really can'...

Re: Deer season in your state?
Forgot to mention, 3 bucks only in the state, the rest are does. Really no limit, because we can buy "bonus" tags that are for antlerless deer only. At the military base, only 2 bucks a year, and 1 must have at least 3 points on one side. Not with the Excal, but got a buck today, had alrea...

Re: Deer season in your state?
I'm in Virginia, east of the Blue ridge, it makes a difference. Archery starts the first Saturday in October, and does are allowed, muzzleloader the fist Sat in Nov. and general firearms, two weeks later. The season ends the first Sat in January. Once archery starts, you can use it full season. Diff...

Re: Oversized Nock and Broadhead Inserts
Yes I have smelt the smell that my nock makes but my insert sticks about 2 in. past where my riser meets my rail so my insert never touches the rail. Are you talking about sliding a over sized insert down the arrow shaft. Roll is correct, unless your shooting a really short arrow. I know with the 2...
