Re: Took the plunge!
Speezack, did the same. Found a good price on-line, went to Bass pro. They told me that they wouldn't match an on-line price, but would match a local price. Ended up at Green top, they had a much better price and the bow (a Phoenix) in stock. I figured, why drive back to BP when they have what I wan...

Re: Jump the string
Serious as a heart attack, read the ads that come w/ them............... I only wondered WTF they were for until i read the lit that came w/ the V-zone. When I got my Phoenix, I did read the lit that came with it. Wasn't sure about sighting it in. And saw the part about using the mark for...

Re: Need Help Choosing
If your buying the package deal, then the firebolts that come with it work great. If not, alot use the Gold Tip II, they will be my next bolt purchase. I would stick with the string that comes with it, until you have more experience shooting. It works fine, and if you dry fire your bow, you shouldn'...

Re: Will fall ever get here
I have to wait until Oct. 6th for deer season to open. No hogs around here and only a few bears, and that season runs during archery, I think.

Re: sighting cross bow with a gun borescope
I would say, just shoot it in. A bore sight is only going to get it so close anyway, the fine tune would still require shooting it. Besides, going out and shooting is fun. Start close and work your way back. I know that when I sighted mine, it didn't take long the get it close.

Re: What Do You Recommend
I have used an Arizona EZ fletch when using a vertical bow, and just got the Bolt Fletcher. Works great, just did 3 bolts a few days ago with the bolt Fletcher and 2" blazers, so far so good.

Where is the best place to get the GT II shaft and inserts? I have an ArizonaEZ bolt Fletcher and some 2" blazer, so I am looking for bare shafts.

Re: Cold Front next monday
We got 00.0tenths. All the storms went north and south, we didn't get anything. I was in Fredericksburg yesterday, and it poured. Don't know how much they got, but it was coming down hard and lasted a good 30min.

Re: advice on bolt knocks?
I bought some bolts last year that had the lighted nocks already installed. I am not sure which nocks they were, but they do use a magnet to turn them on. I put the magnet at the "valley" on the piece that your limbs bolt too (sorry, not sure what it's called). If you have the bow cocked a...

Re: Speeds
Not exactly sure. They don't list it on the site, but there was another post about this, and after searching a little, firebolts, with inserts and fletchings, about 265 to 275 grains.Sloppy Does wrote:How much does an excal firebolt weigh?

Re: lost arrow
I used to shoot for groups, but came close to a Robinhood, now I don't shoot groups. Took a little piece out of the nock, but splintered the end of the bolt. I removed the nock, just to see how hard it was to get out (firebolt). Now looking at it, I could probably cut about an inch off and still use...

Thanks Boo. I figured that was the one, but saw the two different numbers on different threads, and wanted to make sure.

Danny Millers #?
I just saved Danny's number in my cell phone. Got it from a post on here, then went to another thread/post and checked the number with the one I had just saved, and it was different. The two that I saw are 1-740-483-2313 and 1-740-483-2312. Anyone know which is correct, or are both good numbers, or ...
