Hot, hot, hot. In the imortal words of Eddy Murphy in Idependence Day, "I gotta have me one of these".

Re: anyone worried?
Well, the day has come and gone. The stars are still there, the walleye are still biting hot and fast and we got another <> 5" snow and it is still -34 with wind chill. Is this Montezuma's revenge? Merry Christmas and peace be with you all. Guess it is safe to get in the que for one of those Ma...

Matrix Speed!
The Excalibur folks are dropping hints everywhere. Go to home page and find "Promotional items". Open the Golf Shirt and read the very last line. 380 fps is in there.

Re: anyone worried?
We are at -25C and going to -31C this evening. Somewhere in between would be fine. Think I better get back out on the lake a couple more times. We have over 2 feet of ice and the walleye are in a feeding frenzy. Maybe they know something............?

Re: S5 string shock suppression system review
I somewhat agree with your observations. From day one I have used the FFF string on the vortex and it adds to noise and vibration. I would read what Hester0305 and Vixenmaster say about arrow weight and noise/vibration. I started using the 175 gr. slick trick magnum. With the other arrow components ...

Re: Upgrading Optics
I suggest that you keep the old scope until you are satisfied with the Leupold scope. I tried the Crossbones scope on my Equinox & it would not adjust enough. Leupold CS suggested a shim under the front scope mount. I went back to the Varizone. X2 on that. I got a Hawke XB30 and things are goin...

Re: Xbow recoil
Thanks to all of you for the insights. Kind of thought there were extra cycles happening. Something I see is that with all the different hardware and accessories used on the Excal xbow and all the success stories the Excal is very versatile and adaptive. If you try something and it does not work wel...

Xbow recoil
While reading a posting about selecting a scope I saw a comment about a rifle scope and the possibility of it being damaged if used on a xbow. Have seen this a number of times on here yet a number of Excal owners say they are having success using them. When I shoulder my .338 WM and shoot I am remin...

Re: Scopes?
Hawke XB30. 30 mm tube and comes with mount. Has sidebars that eliminate the need for range finder. Very crisp optics and clear view. Excellent for low light. It is pricey and hard to find. Time will tell for durability. I have a shadow zone with 2000+ shots on it and was fine when I replaced it. I ...

Firebolt wt.
This has probably been asked a 1001 times. What is the weight of a Firebolt without tip or fletching?

Re: swhacker help...asap...please
The shadow zone scope I have lets me adjust for speed and I have tried a number of different bh of varying weights. Get a set of 150 gr. slick trick xbow magnums in lieu of a new scope. You will be back to index weight and they fly same as field pints, in my experience. I have switched to the 175 gr...
