Ray, Hang in there and keep looking for the help that you need. There are medical breakthroughs happening all the time. You just need to keep at it, I know. I blew out my back in 2000 and after 4 surgeries I am left in constant, debilitating, pain and have been unable to work for the last 3 years. I...

I also use the Bushnell 400 yardage pro. Having used a rangefinder I wouldn't hunt without it.

DrDan,

Thanks for the info I hadn't heard about this until I saw your post. I have some of the cat food but I was lucky as it wasn't on the list.

Lansky 2000 grit Sapphire Stone

Has anyone used the 2000 grit sapphire sharpening stone for the Lansky sharpener for the final polishing or am I better off using a leather strop and stropping compound to polish the final edge on my knives and broadhead blades??

Thanks for your suggestions.

Another Broadhead Test

I ran across this Broadhead test on the HuntingNet.com forum and I thought it was worth posting here. The test was conducted by Pro Release Inc. The video is a little longewinded but they also published all of the data as well. Here are the links to the two pages: Video: http://www.prorelease.com/xr...

Just curious with all of the media hype and advertising.

I have to agree that it doesn't make any sense, especially with the Stryker's poundage and arrow speed. I tend to thnk that specifying an arrow weight makes less sense (Connecticut not less than 450 grains). That being said, I do my best to follow them regardless of wether or not I agree with them. ...

Whoops sorry the price I quoted ($721.29usd) was for the xbow and the scope accessory package. The Vortex alone is 458.64 usd. which is the cheapest I have found.

Yes it is. As I said I have been watching the prices on the Vortex and on average I am finding about an additional $30-$40 over the Exocet. The cheapest I have found so far is $721.29 at Archers Nook. But keep in mind that they are one of the few that charge shipping.

DrDan, I have been watching the prices as I am waiting for the Votex. One of the states I hunt in has a 200lb limit. The cheapest price I have found for the Vortex is at the Bow Hunter's Super Store. They don't have either the Equonox or the Vortex listed on their website but drop them an email and ...

Sounds like Massachusetts. Try as they might you can't legislate morality or common sense.
