Glomitts.
They are the perfect place to tuck a hand warmer on those cold days.

Lots of great advice in the previous replies.
I personally prefer the aluminum nocks for my Exocet.

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Flat is one thing. Square is another.
Just buy a good aluminum flat nock and replace them.
The old ones may be pressed in or glued in. A short dip in hot water should loosen the glue.

Re: Help newbie here! Problem when shooting Exocet crossbow
Is the hold down spring tight enough to keep the arrow from slipping forward? If you are new at this it is easy to bend the hold down spring when cocking the crossbow. Bob Bob - How would I know this? Or how would I know if bent it? It seems to be fine from what I can tell? The hold down spring loo...

Re: Rangefinder or No Rangefinder
Buy a rangefinder and use it to teach yourself how to estimate yardage. Estimate the yardage by eye and verify it with the rangefinder. Eventually your estimates will get better.
You have to keep in mind that deer will not always show up where you have pre ranged and expect them to.

Re: new to cross bows
I used to cock and uncock my Exocet in my Summit Goliath without any issues so the shorter and thinner newer Xbows should be a snap. I used to pass it over the top rail and bring the but stock up inside the rail. Plenty of room to get it done. It is preferable to do it on the ground but one of the s...

Please excuse my ignorance but what exactly are you calling the guide vane all of the arrows I have purchased for the micro (quills) have 3 identical vanes. Are you saying it is the guide vane because it points down ? I have done the marking each vane but they all seem to shoot very close no matter...

Re: Dry-fired my Axiom
Been there done that. Glad that there isn’t any visible damage. You should run a cotton ball over the limbs just to make sure. If there is a splinter starting it will pick it up. The string talks a beating when this happens. You should put a new string on it. Twice I have seen a delayed string failu...

Regular Spitfire. No bands necessary.
Most premature balde deployment issues are self inflicted. Don’t play with the blades and you won’t have a problem.

Re: Broad head help
They are brass The nice thing about having brass inserts is that you can run standard sized broadheads and still have plenty of weight up front to give you sufficient FOC to have good arrow flight. This will give you a much wider selection of broadheads to choose from. My recommendation would be a ...

Re: Broad head help
Are the front inserts aluminum or brass? What broadhead?
Crossbow arrows require a high FOC. If you have brass inserts you can go as low as 100g. Aluminum inserts I would go 150g - 180g.

Using hot water on the stove will give you a lot more control over the temperature.
