Re: Nikon Bolt Scope
Excellent scope for an Excal CB, light, short, accurate, rugged and 3" to 4" eye relief. I have one on my Equinox & I gave my son one for his Vortex. This scope does NOT have a speed ring and I use my CB for hunting. I set the x-hairs for POI at 25 yards and use them for all shots out ...

Re: Picatinny Scope rail for matrix series
Is your problem with the current scope rail that the slots do not line up for your fixed scope? I had a problem in that I wanted to move my scope back another notch for better eye relief so after talking with Danny & Boo I cut another notch into the rail so that I was able to move the scope back...

Re: Stringin Aid
I just looked at a Matrix 355 in the BPS store in Cary, NC and the string was below the riser. The clerk or salesperson said that it was normal that way and that the string would push back when the rubber bumpers were installed. I told him that if BPS sold this CB in this condition and the customer ...

Re: Lubricating the trigger
It may be easier to determine what is happening if you use your stringing aid and try and cock the CB as you can see the latches with less pressure. Does this work when you cock the CB with the stringing aid?

Re: Stringin Aid
My stringing aid made from lawn mower starter rope & I made several. The loops are about 2" and formed by using a bowline knot, (http://www.animatedknots.com/bowline/), which makes it easy to adjust the aid for length between the loops. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a390/Travis299/IMG_2...

Re: Lubricating the trigger
You say that the trigger works when you use a screw driver and I assume that you are cocking the trigger with the barrel of the screw driver. When the string is cocked it presses on the back of the latches exactly like the barrel of the screw driver. What is preventing the string from pushing back o...

Re: TriggerTech screw sheared off
I believe that if the trigger housing rotated up when the front screw broke that some damage may have occurred to the rear screw. Did you check that out when you replaced the front screw. The TT instructions state that new supplied screws with lockwashers are to be used when installing the TT trigge...

Re: Nocks and things
I believe that you should learn how to de-cock your Axiom using the cocking rope. The procedure is simple & I can de-cock my Equinox while in the tree stand. You do NOT need to shoot any Excel CB to uncock the CB.

Re: scope rail trials...
What flightattendant100 said. I use the Torx 3/8" screws on my Equinox with NO locktite and have no problem with them coming loose. I had to grind off some of the front 2 screws a small amount to prevent binding of the latches BUT there is nothing to restrict the back 2 screws and in fact they ...

Re: String touching REDS dampeners
On my Equinox, the BH is 1 & 3/16" which gives a 1/8" gap between the string and the S5 rubbers face. I keep at least a 1/8" gap between the string & rubbers by adding CCW twists to either end of the string when necessary. I check this gap each & every time I use the CB. F...

String aid tip
When using the string aid be sure that the loose aid rope goes under the arrow retainer spring when cocking. I forgot to do this & of course I had to remove the retainer and adjust the bend after trying to force the cocking over the top of the retainer.

Re: TT Trigger and Red Lever Question
I just checked my new install of the TT 2.5lb single stage with the red swept back lever and there is slight 1/16"|1/32" side to side movement.

TT install on Equinox
I had to remove a small/short bar from the trigger lever to the trigger before the old trigger could be removed from the rail. This bar is held with 2 screws that have shoulders to allow the bar to swing or move. I used the TT swept back Equinox lever on the TT trigger so this bar arrangement is not...
