Re: 10 weapons you wont believe are legal

You guys get all the cool toys. No Nunchucks, cane/umbrella swords, miniguns, chain-whip thingies allowed up here. Well, there might be Grandfathered prohibited miniguns - I don't know. At least Crossbows are good, unless they are short and designed to be fired one-handed. No blow-guns eit...

Re: Grim Reaper Broadhead

I've got some 125 gr crossbow Razercuts coming. I'll let you know how they fly out of my Axiom.

Re: Old Excalibur Model?

I might have figured it out.

It might be an Excalibur Apex. Guess I should look at the catalogue a little closer.

Or maybe they are newer?

Old Excalibur Model?

My Uncle has apparently acquired an used Excalibur crossbow. From the sounds of it, the crossbow has a shorter power-stroke and is a lower poundage than the Axiom. My dad has told me that it is physically smaller than my Axiom as well. Is this an older model? Just curious as to what model it might b...

Re: Firebolt with different vane twist

Thanks for the responses guys. Strum, to clarify, I was going to use them for hunting this morning until I noticed that the twist direction was different. I decided not to use them just in case there was a difference. I guess consensus seems to be that there should not be a difference in flight. Don...

Firebolt with different vane twist

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this: The Firebolts that came with my Axiom smf had the rear of the vane slightly more to the right than the front end of the vane. However, I just purchased some lumenok firebolts from Burt Coyote and on those firebolts the rear of the vane is just left o...

Thanks for the reassurance guys.

I'll finish sighting in with the Bolt Cutters tomorrow and hopefully put one through a deer this weekend! :D

Re: Hello and 3 Newbie ?'s

Thanks guys. I will see if I can find any Dalton's wax in town. Looks like I'm one of a few newbs to ask that very question this week! Maybe I should stop asking questions at the hunting/outdoors shops and just ask here instead - then I wouldn't have to ask twice  Deer opens here in Two Days!

Re: Hello and 3 Newbie ?'s

Welcome! Here are some string and serving tips I have learned, dont lube the rail. I use Daltons string wax and most on here will agree it is the best going. Normally I will wax my string when every the main part of the string gets fuzzy or its going to rain before a hunt, that could be 200 or more...

Re: Bolt Cutter Broad Head

The Axiom with the ready to shoot kit may not be the fastest of the Excal lineup But I would not say their slow. Too slow for what? I don't understand the statement. See, that's why I don't go to local shops much. He explained that 150gr broadheads were meant for faster crossbows shooting wa...

Re: Bolt Cutter Broad Head

I've been doing Forum searching looking for similar answers. I have the 150gr Boltcutters right now, but I recently had a hunting/fishing store owner tell me that the Axiom was too slow to be shooting 150gr broadheads with the stock Firebolts. I'm going to play around with other broadheads next year...
